I'm curious to find out the results of your study. Would you share them with us when the time comes? I think that there are definitely addictive qualities to a lot of the fast food that is available to us. Most certainly the carbs! I recently heard someone refer to carbs as "carbage." Ha!

Wow!! Congratulations. You look great and I have a feeling that you must feel even better. Reading your post really encourages me and reminds me that success in the area of weight loss really is possible. I know in my head that it's possible (certainly with VSG). Hi, I've been doing a lot of research and am in the beginning process of having WLS (I've had my first couple of appointments and meet with the surgeon this week). I am wondering if any of you have a favorite site (other than this one!) that describes the surgery in an easy to understand way? I'd like to have a link to send to my family so that they have a better understanding of what I am considering. I've found so many helpful sites but I'm just looking for favorites of those who have been "surfing" as well. Thanks so much!

Hi, I'm in the beginning stages of considering having VSG surgery (in fact, my first appointment is today). I have three small children and am a stay-at-home mom. What can I realistically expect for my recovery time? When will I be well enough to be able to care for my kiddos? (I have a 6 year old and 3 year old twins). Just wondering how much time to plan for my husband to take off of work, etc. Thanks for your advice!
