I guess everyone is different, because it was the nutritionist who told me about them. I didn't want the other drinks for post op, because it was too many ounces to possibly get down for the week after surgery. This was easiest for me. I still use them when I need to, but that is only about once or twice a week.

DH thinks they taste like a Sweet Tart. I drink them straight. Some people complain about an aftertaste, but it doesn't bother me. It is only 3 oz, so it is REALLY easy to get down. Some people mix it with Crystal Light. I get the tropical punch. It also comes in blueberry, grape, and orange.

I think the bullets are a little less than 200 calories. I only use them now if I am not going to make my protein intake for the day.

The 42g New Whey protein bullets are the easiest way to get your protein. Unfortunately, they are about 3.50 each. Each bullet is only 3 oz. so it is really easy to drink it. It takes maybe 5 sips to get the whole thing down and it is more than half of what you need for the whole day. If you haven't tried them, they have a tart taste. My husband says if reminds him of a Sweet Tart. Some people complain of an aftertaste, but I don't notice it. I like the tropical punch. If you buy them make sure you get the ones that say 42g.

Do they feel warm? The only incision I had that looked like that was my port incision. My other 5 were tiny and I didn't even notice them. My port incision was about 2 inches long, was sorer than the others, and took longer to heal. If they don't have "fever" they are probably okay. I think you should call the surgeon's office to make sure if you feel concerned.

You definitely should log your food daily to make sure you are getting enough calories, because you are correct, if your body thinks you are "starving" it, it will hold on to every ounce it can. I eat 1000-1400 calories per day. I make sure I hit the 1400 mark at least every third day to keep my metabolism going. I am not losing super fast, only 2 lbs per week, but I am NEVER hungry, eat about a cup of food 3-4 times per day, and enjoy my starbucks latte almost every day. Good luck!!!

The PA at my surgeon's office normally does 3-4ccs on a first fill. I had her put just 2ccs in and she still had to take 1cc out. I think people are just different.

I have never heard of anyone paying that much! Are you self pay, or is that what they bill your insurance? Either way, it is outrageous!!!! Many times offices grossly inflate what they bill to insurance companies, and then people wonder why we have to pay high insurance premiums.
