  11. Well there is help for me after all!!!!!! I am now seeing a difference as well. I was breaking all of the rules, thinking that this (the band) was a quick fix. Now that I am properly restricted and following the rules I have seen a lost.....It helps so much to know that there is "light" at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for sharing and congrats!!!!
  12. WOW CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I AM RIGHT THERE WITH YOU....I got on the scale this weekend and could not beleive I broke the 200 mark. I am not going to get on the scale for a while.....just in case it "changes it's mind"....LOL Birdee
  13. Chris I struggled with the whole dieting thing as well. After being at 3.4cc's it seems that I can not eat whatever I want....now it seems that I can only eat what I can! The impression that I received before being banded was I was to only eat 4oz and make healthy choices.. I would say once you are properly restricted you will see a big difference!!!! Hope this helps! Birdee

Hi Renee I have never experience that but I am sure someone else may have. I just wanted to tell you to keep your head up. I am sure that everything will be okay. Birdee!
  15. Don't worry a bit......just like Annette said....keep getting your fills. That's the beauty of this surgery it's adjustable. I have had 4 fills and mind you my 3rd on was a whole CC. I am now up to 3.4cc's I guess we are all different that way....Keep the faith, you will find that right adjustment....and boy will you know it!!!!! Birdee
  16. CONGRATULATIONS....I know how you feel, eventhough my Weightloss has been slow ( I am not complaining) I feel much better everyday. Being able to wear my clothes with out the pants squeezing the life out of me is such a reward!!!! I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!!!! ISN'T IT GREAT!!!!! BIRDEE
  17. That is so good to know. I have been struggling with that also....I guess I am not chewing well enough because I am so hungry. Birdee
  18. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
  19. I thought about the flavored waters....they are so expensive!!!! I am going to have to get a taste for Water again! I think my biggest problem is I am not a big drinkier never really have been, so even if it was soda sitting in front of me, I would still have a hard time trying to drink it. I am going to make an effort to get in more water....thanks for the input everyone. Robin:D
  20. Okay I really struggle with Water. I was told by a Gastric Bypass patient to drink Crystal Light....can Crystal light take the place of water? Sorta like adding lemon? I am not a big drinker and I don't want to drink Crystal light if it can's benefit me like water......let me know your thoughts! Birdee::devious
  21. I am loving the advice that you all have given me. Very reasonable. I will have you know that I have a bottle of Water on my desk right now!!!! I like the idea of treating myself with a low cal naughty!!!!!! I really appreciate you all taking the time to "be real" with me and not slamming me for my indiscretions! I am going to make a change in my life! I ate lunch today, when my food came I pushed the drink aside!!!!! I did not touch it! It's a hard habit that I have to break and I WILL! I am going to do a very strick eating regiment to jump start my weightloss and see how it goes from here..... Well gotta go and drink my water:rambo Birdee
  22. Okay guys need help with my eating......what type of things are you all eating? Breakfast? lunch? dinner? Snack? Just need ideas to get me back on the right path! Birdee:D
  23. I checked out the syrups.....at your link....are they all sugar free? How much of it so you have to use? Birdee:D
  24. I could just kiss you all. I feel so much better!!!!!! :kiss I guess I thought all of this time things would be easy...Since I could noly eat so little....why not eat what I want and enjoy it?? Maybe my way of thinking has been all screwed up! I really was under the impression that I did not have to diet......well I now know that I must hold myself accountable for everything I do and eat!!!!!!!!! I do better on the weekdays with my eating. I normally do a couple of bites of Yogurt, or cottage cheese and a juice of Frappacino in the bottle. lunch, fast food......but like less than half....Dinner what ever is cooked...smaller portions....I got this band thinking and hoping that I could eat "normal" If there is every a thing......I did not realized that I still needed to be conscious. Now I am more in a panic!!!!! If possible. please anyone out there give me some of your typical days intake....that will give me an idea on how I can change my eating behaviour....As I am typing this I am going to send out an email to my friend and invite her to walk........that will hold me accountable....I know she'll say yes...if not, I'll walk alone. I am also going to crack open a bottled of Water and MAKE myself finish it by bed time....small steps....thanks everyone for the advice. I am going to use it wisely...I am going to post on the board asking for menu ideas! I feel so much better!!!!! Birdee!:banana
  25. Where to start??!!?? I really don't know where to start. I do know this.......I was banded back in July. To date I have lost 20 pounds. A lot of my own doing mind you. I am having to STRUGGLE with the whole no eating and drinking thing. I am up to about 3.4 CC's and I can tell a big difference! I CAN'T eat and drink anymore. I feel so discouraged because I see where other people that were banded after me have almost met there goal. I knew this surgery was going to be a struggle, I just did not imagine it would be this hard!!!!!! I am consumed at work all day long and it is impossible to exercise. My life is so busy that I can barely get in Water.....if you can imagine.....I just don't know what to do anymore. I would not trade my band for all of the money in the world....but I am scared that I am that person that is not going to be successful, I have however made up my mind to workout at least once a week.....for starters. Is there anyone out there that feels my "pain" I just need to be encouraged right now! I need to know that I still have a chance at success!!! Thanks for listening/reading! :cry
