  1. I'm 4 days post op. I've been having the most difficult time getting the liquids and protein in - I'm trying so hard. I just went into the bathroom and realized how pale I am. I'm do scared I'm messing this up. Can anyone give me any tips? Help!!
  2. I had no idea there was another Mohegan sun - good luck with everything
  3. I have liquid Tylenol with codeine - it helps with the sleep. I'm not taking it around the clock. I'm only 3 days out.
  4. Where in ct are you? I have BCBS and surgery Tuesday at st Mary's in waterbury.
  5. My surgeon new I was terrified so they gave me iv anxiety meds and I don't even remember leaving the preop room. I woke up in recovery. The pain is not fun and you have to rest but you can do it! I'm only 3 days post op!
  6. I'm not quite understanding how people are so active immediately after surgery?? I refused the narcotic pain meds and am still very sore. I'm 3 days post op and can't wait to be jogging again but with how sore I am, it won't be for a while!
  7. Need help!!! Please tell me your full liquid diet favorites. I thought Chobani would be good but it seems way to high in sugars and carbs.
  8. I'm 2 days out. I didn't expect to be so sore. I'm having trouble doing anything. Not to mention the 10 lbs I gained at the hospital!!!
  9. Sleeved today and sore but feeling pretty good. I can't believe I did it!!
  10. I had more anxiety last night than I have right now - I'm sure it'll come back!!! Time to get some sleep! Hope we all do well tomorrow!!!!
  11. I'm having surgery tomorrow and naturally woke up with my period today! I was told absolutely no tampons. They will be giving me mesh panties to wear with a pad. Not happy about it but what are ya gonna do right?
  12. I'm tomorrow as well!! I'm at 10:30 - I was hoping to be first but that's ok!! I can't wait to be done so I can start living my life!
  13. It's been a 6 month process for me and I still feel like its too fast. I've never had surgery and am terrified - not to mention the hunger!! Today is going to be a very long day!
  14. I'm not worried about 2 days of liquids but the 3 weeks after surgery seems like a lifetime Right now! Lol I can't wait to start this new chapter!!!
  15. I'm Tuesday as well - good to know I'm not the only one having a crazy reality check!
  16. I needed to read this! Good to know I'm not alone! I'm Tuesday as well!! Ahhhhh!
  17. I'm very lucky to have only a 2 day liquid diet before surgery. With that being said - tomorrow is day 1. My anxiety is at an all time high. I'm ready for the change but I'm scared too. Saying goodbye to my friend and enemy (food) isn't as easy as it sounds. It's almost the same feeling I experienced last year when I quit smoking - except I did that cold turkey and it was a success! So....surgery is Tuesday. I hope everything goes smoothly!
  18. It took me 6 months from seminar. It seems like a long time, but it flies by! It seems that most average 3 months to 6 months. Depends on your availability. I have one weekday off per week so I used that time for my appointments. Any other questions - shoot me a message! Good luck!
  19. I had the same question for my surgeon last week! He said they use liquids to test for leaks while in surgery so I will need a catheter to prevent me from having to get up 20 times to use the bathroom. He said he will take it out the mornin after surgery and it won't be a big deal. In the grand scheme of things I'm not too worried - this is my first ever surgery so I'm pretty terrified about the whole thing. I'm lucky my surgeon is so easy to talk to - I trust him!
  20. My surgery is next Tuesday - Im constantly on this forum - and I'm at work right now. Haha I read a bunch of negative VSG stuff the other day on here and I won't be doing that again! I'm trying to remain calm eventhough I'm terrified!!! I am completely consumed.
  21. Does the isopure dissolve in the crystal light? I bought almost ever flavor of crystal light to get me off the soda lol and where do you get it? Gnc?
  22. Why is this woman preaching about WLS results for ten years out when she's only kept her weight off for a year? People like her shouldn't be stating opinions on topics like this - she has no first hand experience!
  23. My surgeon will be injecting them while I'm still knocked out during surgery! Seems crazy to make the patient do that themselves!
  24. Does the unflavored protein dissolve into whatever drink you add it to? How do those work? I hate milk and anything that resembles a milky substance so shakes are not my thing. I've tried the body fortress shots from Walmart and for 26g's of protein they're great....but disgusting!! I'm going to order the unjury broth this week but was wondering about the unflavored protein.
  25. Although I have only a 2 day required liquid diet, I am already doing some of it. Last week I eliminated breakfast and had protein shake and liquids until lunch. This week I will eliminate breakfast and lunch, replace with liquids and then have a sensible dinner. I'm trying to prepare myself the best way I know how. I'm seeing my nutritionist again Wednesday and hope she isn't mad that I've put on a few lbs from the past few weeks of food funerals! I'm so ready for this to be done - it's like my brain had surgery so long ago yet my body is so far behind!
