  1. Msfotobug, I literally feel like you have taken a page from my life story. Last year when i started this journey, i thought this would go so fast. Right after I had my first appt, I proceded to gain 11 lbs. My doc requires that you lose 5% to get the surgery. Finally last month I got so close that the nurses let me me with the doc(I was 2 lbs away and he gave me the go ahead). The next day I was right back up to a higher weight and the nurse called and told me that they will not process my paperwork until I reach that 5% goal. Obviously it takes me a long time to lose and i never keep it off. Your story inspired me to try harder, so today is day 1 and I will have 4 shakes and a dinner of 3oz Protein and 1 cup green veg. I especially feel motivated by the part about satan! I have always turned my back to him and will with this as well! (I am usually not so spiritual-maybe that's the problem) take care and I wish you the best today on your journey Tammy
  2. Thanks so much for all of your responses. I went to the appt. and got approved. Now I just have to wait for the insurance to approve it too.
  3. Hi, I am pre op too. If you look at both web sites-Lap band and Realize- they lap site is more user friendly. You can google the info for vs. If you re-post this question in a post op forum, you might get a better response. Just sayin. Tammy
  4. Every surgeon is different. I had to be cleared by the nutritionist. I am supposed to lose 5%.
