  1. Lest we not forget; a VERY large portion of society (in general) take antidepressants because of depression. Be it endogenous or exogenous (internal cause or external cause). Many people are born with a hereditary precursor to depression. Many people have that AND add a few external issues and there you have it: Depression. MANY people have depression and never acknowledge that their own illness exists, so they just live a victim role most of their life or make others the cause of 'their' problems. Goodness knows how many people never even admit their own problem or seek help. I think we've taken polls on this board as to how many take medications to alleviate their depression. In the obese society, it is rampant. I don't think one article about women in a particular religious society makes a hill of beans, compared to society in general. You can track depression/addiction through my own family for as far back as I can remember and I'm not sure I've ever even shaken hands with a person who belongs to a LDS church. Depression is a cognitive thinking/chemical imbalance illness. It knows no address or religous affiliation.
  2. An attempt was made to add senior citizens, pregnant women, prior victims, children under 18, the unborn, court witnesses and members of our armed forces to the bill, giving them the same “protected class” given homosexuals. The Democrats defeated all amendments, reserving the “protected class” for homosexuals only. This came in my AFA Action Alert
  3. I quit 7 months before and it's been 4 yrs now. I'm SO glad I did. However, not soon enough to avoid the wonderful wrinkles that remind me of my habit of 22 yrs.
  4. Bread (or gluten products) will almost always swell up and make you feel full quickly. Even cause PB's on occasion. My advise would be leave the bread products for last and go for good, hard Proteins first. chicken, fish, etc - chewed to mush. It stays with your pouch longer, provides the Protein you need and doesn't have near the calories as starches/carbs. Remember, protein first, veggies - anything else IF you still haver room. You'll get the hang of it. Good luck!

I got mine in February and I'm sure glad I did. One clue to those who haven't. Get your photos done before you to the office where you're having it processed. Have your papers filled out online and printed, in hand. You don't hold up the folks standing in line behind you and pics are cheaper at somewhere like Kinkos than they are at the post office. I think it took about 6 weeks to get mine back in the mail.
  6. I'm sorry to hear this Karen. I'm also terribly sorry to hear of your husband's illness and I pray all will be well for you both. Thank you so much for your update and I truly hope your RNY does the trick for you!
  7. I've never had such bad service as from Comcast. I"m sure it's not politically correct, but with outsourcing, there is no such thing as customer service anymore - just canned answers in a language you can't understand. That's progress for ya.
