  1. As I sit here on day 2 of my pre-op diet sipping my iced up protein shake I have a HUGE smile on my face! I too have had the same thing happen as my hubby n I have gained weight. I truly can't wait to see the difference in all aspectss of our lives ecspecially the sex part.
  2. Hi all! My name is Angie and I'm from Wataga, IL. I have my surgery scheduled for Oct 6 two days after my 39 birthday! Best birthday present ever! I started this journey several years ago and got scared off then after seeing my friend go thru it and have such a success I decided it was time! I called the same day as the inital information seminar, got approval within a week and have attended my support group meetings, done my psych eval (dh was surprised I passed ). Now I'm on day 2 of my pre-op diet. It's not as bad as I thought it would be...I guess cause I know the payoff is so well worth it! I have told my son who will be 13 in January, friends and family, did not tell my boss as he is not the nicest person. I want to be healthier for myself but also my son and husband. I don't want our son to make the same mistakes we have. So I figure I have some years left before he leaves the nest to enforce good habits!
  3. Congratulations! Do all the bragging you want! You definitely deserve it
  4. I love the unjury Protein shakes. The chicken Soup flavor WOW! You can make it a little thicker for a gravy after surgery. I am starting day 2 of my pre-op diet and am allowed 2 shakes a day and am doing chocolate splendor and strawberry sorbet. I am paying $22 per container and each container has 17 servings. So I really don't think it's to bad.
  5. I am scheduled for surgery on Oct 6th! Today was day one of the pre-op diet and it really wasn't too bad. I am allowed to have all the sugar free popsicles and Jello I want. I can have 3 sugar free fudgesicles a day, up to 3 8 oz glass of skim milk or 8 oz of less than 80 calorie yogurt. Then I get 3 ounces of Protein a day. I save the 3 ounces of protein to eat with my son and hubby at suppertime. My son almost 13 knows as well as the rest of my family, and alot of my friends. They are all so supportive. It's nice to have a place like this to have people going thru the same thing!
