I had my surg done on the 24th as well. I am still eating chicken broth daily. I am having problems with all Protein drinks and just about everything. SO I am sticking with what works. This liquid Protein I bought that I add to tea, chicken broth and some other cream cereals. I am to afraid to venture off in the food world. The gas and pain is not worht it to me. That's probably why I have lost 30 lbs in 20 days.

It just scared me that's all. It has stopped. I have never experienced something like that with my stomach. I have always had a very strong stomach, never gassy never nausiated, never gurgles....I was very lucky before in that but I also think that is one of the reasons I was able to comcume so much...because my stomach could handle ALOT. L

I am 20 days post op tomorrow and tonight after dinner my stomach started gurgling to the point that is has not stopped for an hour now and it is starting to scare me. Has anyone else had this problem? I am really geting concerned about this. The grugling is lloud very loud, no pain but it doesnt seem to be moving down at all. Thanks L

I had my sleeve done on Sep 24th and I too am having the same problem. In 2 days I can start full mushies and this protein liquid thing is beyond tough.

Update..Dr perscribed me liquid vicodin today so all is good now...I am feeling much better. Thanks to all for your comments and posts! L

I have been getting them in but yesterday was a rough day because we traveled home on the airplane form CA to WA so I was less on my fluids yesterday.

Soory for the long wait on replies. I left the hospital on MOnday. Everything was great and wonderful. We drove from there to Ontario CA to my mother in laws house. That was a rought ride. ONe thing I did want to mention to folks..if you are going ther to get surg done consider getting pain meds prior to going from your PCP, they do not prescribe narcotics to you when they discharge you. I am sure it has to do with the border. Some people may need it some may not I did. Way lucky for me I had access to them immediately. I would have ended up in the ER trying to get pain meds and prove I need them..hmm not good. We left CA yesterday and I am home now. Woke up this am with a bloody nose so hmmmm TBC.

I am 7 days post op and woke up this morning with a bloody nose. I never get them so I am concerned. Any thoughts? L

I am still in alot of pain from gas. I am 7 days out tomorrow. I ended up crushing some vicodin up that I had and have been using those. I cant wait for this paint to stop OMG it hurts!

I need pain meds bad. The Dr only gave me 8 pills that are not good. WHat pain meds can I take if I cannot eat if I take percocet or vicodin can those be put with Water and then consumed? Help I am in pain bad!

So I am 1 day post op and a little hungry....but I'm not sure if its that or acid. I have been waiting to pst here for a long time I am so glad I am now able :thumbup:

yes i am in 23 had my leak tes all good no leaks! I am nw eating chicken broth which tastes amazing! I got more [ain meds in my IV cause i am really hurting! Wow as a few have stataed every day gets better. oh ya one yhing if your headed here bring tisue, its like pulling teeth to get a kleenex here!

So I still have a major gass bubble. If it wasnt for the gas bubble I wouldnt feel so bad......I kinda feel a little hungry too, It might be the gass though I dont know. I did get my IV out so I am on my own for liquids now. I am really afraid to drink too much as I do not want to experience any more horrible feelings or puke for that matter... Everyone here is amazing and nice. It has been a good experience.

So Dr. A just left the room and had a long talk with all 3 of us on WLS and eating and habbits and such. He is a very warm hearted man and has a slight funnyness to him. I was very impressed. They took Gloria back and now me and another patient who are sleaving are waiting for our turn I do not know if it wil be me or her so we'll see..... Thus far it is very nice here and the staff is helpful and attentive. Also L

Just checked in to my room, we are in the room at the end with the long couch. We met Dr Campo and another one I cant remember his name. Both very easy on the eyes...:lol0: Just waiting in the room to go............. so to be continued. L

I am here in Mexicali at my hotel, scared as Sh*t, waiting for Ernesto to pick us up at 7 for my surg. W Had pre ops done yesterday which went well. Staff was al nice and everything went as planed. Ernesto will be here at 7 to pick us up. Gota to finish geting ready so I wil keep u updated as I do it....you will too. Thanks for the words of encouragement..I wish your words would turn the switch on my addiction to these F***er's...I am going to plug along hour by hour to not smoke........that's my plan and I am sticking with it! (Positive thoughts r supposed to help right?)

Not good, my DH is headed to the mall as we speek to get me an electronic smoke. You can use these as they are just like having a patch. They are not smoke but you can get them with nicotine..so to be continued I will let you know.

Well thank you for the compliment on my craziness. You know your response comes off as judgemental and rude...right? Well you are you and I am me and every human does things differently. You know I have been a non smoker and a smoker for long periods each within my life, and I will tell you when I didn't smoke the last thing I told people was "It's all psychological" duh and so is my eating, so is my stressing on my ______________ insert name there. Poster absolutely nothing you said in your post was helpful. I am sitting here wondering why you even posted a comment...just to pass judgement on me and let me know how you would NEVER do that..well if that was your goal..you succeeded.......I guess a high five for you is in order......

Ok so no I am at day let's see, I think 5. I have been on the patch and it really does take the edge off. One of our friends asked my husband if there really was a 3 day hump when you quit smoking..and my husband replied " NO but there is a 4 day lump on my head when my wife knocked me one." ha ha ha ha ha ha So not one smoke yet and I didn't Rambo anyone just the hubby...hahahaha

So I quit smoking today 10 days till my surg. I need to go get Patches cause I feel like I could RAMBO someone right now. Thanks for listening. L:cursing:
