  1. Peachy, You are so right!!! We have the motivation, we are gonna have to tool soon, and afterwards, we are going to have the healthy and wonderful life we have always wanted! I just need to control my fear of screwing up and failing. We can do this!!! I'm hoping to be sleeved in January so i gotta get on the ball!!!
  2. Well, i'm glad I'm not the only one. It's hard to convince my mind to do what I want! Lol!! Sometimes i think, "this will be easy! I'm going to eat [insert yummy food here] right now cuz I'm not going to be able to eat it later." Then i slap myself and think how stupid i was for eating it! It's soooo frustrating!!!!
  3. I have the IUD (10 years w/ no hormones) and the doctors said this one was perfect because there was no hormones and no risk of blood clots. My coordinator and doctor told me that birth control was a must because of the high chance of getting pregnant right after. They told me not to take it out whatsoever. But i've heard that every doctor is different.
  4. I'm glad you have great insurance, I do too! i love it. I just feel bad when people get treated differently because of it.
  5. No need to be sorry. I'm tempted to use that language a lot right now. :-/ And yes, you are right, but I'm just scared, i guess. I don't know how I'm going to handle the "not eating" afterwards. I mean, if I can't really control my eating habits right now, how am i suppose to do it later? If I don't have someone to guide me, then how am i suppose to do this?
  6. Well, i hope this class isn't all about the money and the person giving BETTER give a crap about me cuz if not, I promise I WILL raise some hell and demand my money back or attend a different class with a different Nut!! This is a life altering change that will be forever and I don't want something to happen cuz I wasn't taught the right things to eat and do. But then again, that's why I y'all for, right? We are all here to help eachother and support one another!! I love this place!!!
  7. Yeah, that's what my coordinator told me. Besides my dr visits, this is the only thing i have to pay out of pocket. I have basic BCBS so I don't have a deductible.
  8. Yeah, I've noticed that doctors and such treat you different depending on the insurance you have or not have. It's very sad.
  9. LOL!!!! that is hilarious!!!! My nut weighed about 100 lbs and looked anorexic!! i was about to tell her that she needed to eat a little more! maybe that's why she was so "blah"... i don't know!! but y'all just made me laugh!! I needed that today!
  10. thank you to everyone for y'all feedback!! y'all cleared up a lot of questions i had! thank you, again! I'm going to take full advantage of this class and all it's benefits cuz I know i'm going to need it! Don't know what I would do without you all!
  11. Thank you sooooo much for that info!! It does make sense, though. Not that I'm complaining about the money issue, I just wanted to know if I was the only one taking that class. I hadn't read anywhere on here that anyone was taking it. It's just another hoop I have to jump through, but oh well! But yeah, i know the class will be very informative either way!
  12. Hey tiffini! I have BCBS Federal and this post put me at ease, so thank you for sharing the information. they just submitted my paperwork this past Friday or Monday and I'm sooooo nervous! : (
  13. has anyone had to take a class before the surgery? I think it's a diet/eating class or something like that but the insurance doesn't cover it. And can anyone tell me what test, classes and all exams I have to take and do before getting the surgery? I called my surgeon to ask but all he said was that he will tell me when the it gets closer to that time. ugh!! Yes, i'm very impatient! lol
  14. Congrats!!!! i'm in the same boat your in (family wise). I'm doing this for my daughter and myself! no one else!! I have cholesterol right now and my family has that, high bp, diabetes and i'm sure on my way to that, too. that's why i'm doing this! My papers were sent to the insurance on Friday so i'm hoping to hear a response soon. my BMI is right at 40 so i'm afraid the insurance will make me jump through more hoops because of it. What insurance do you have? How long did it take you to hear back from them? again, Congrats!!!! I'm soooo happy for you!!!
  15. i'm soooooo excited for you!!! And don't worry about your BF! you need to concentrate on yourself and getting thinner!! yaaaaay!!!
  16. congrats on getting approval!! Did you get through this scheduling mess already??

  19. how are you going to do the diet during the new years???
  20. I'm not sure. Knowing them they don't. :-( I wish they did, though!
  21. Yeah, the insurance said they have up to 30 days but all I've heard is that it never takes that long. Short yours took so long. :-( but at last you got approved already! So congrats! When is your surgery date? Or did you already have it?
  22. Welcome!! This is a great place for information and especially support from all the VSG family! And yes, it's all we think about right more as the waiting game goes on. I hope it goes by quick!
