  1. Good that you are in tune with your body and looking for a way to lose weight for only a few reasons. I do however have to say that the sleeve is a tool and anyone can eat too many calories (slider foods) and gain back the weight. Yes the number to you on the scale is only a number but for some of us it is also a tool to remind us that we are not putting the correct fuel in our bodies and therefore gaining weight. The sleeve is a part of a lifestyle change. Just like your IE where you have accepted your body. Here we have to accept that certain foods in excess quantity will get us back to where we were. That being said I feel the sleeve is a wonderful tool. You have PCOS and a underactive thyroid which could cause you to lose weight at a much slower rate. If you do not mind the slow rate and can not eat around your sleeve then I think this surgery is what you should really look into. Keep us posted on your decision.
  2. Try this site maiden form I just googled shapewear and found different sites.
  3. The urine sample would have been testing to see if you had an effective dosage in your system. Therapeutic drug monitoring is the term that should have been used by your PCP's office. Or another scenario could be to see if you are taking the medication. I think doctors are having to cover their butts due to some scammers out there and so everyone has to be tested to make sure they are validly prescribing the medication.
  4. Wow are you ever rocking that sleeve!!! All I can say is you are "hot hot hot" !
  5. I find my tummy is sensitive in the mornings. The other day I tried a sample Multivitamin and within 5 mins of taking it I had that saliva thing in the mouth that says everything is coming up. Got to the bathroom just in time. Now I am not sure if it was the multivitamin or if my sensitive stomach just did not want anything in it that early. Give it a couple of days and try again. See if your tummy does the same thing.
  6. I wonder if he is trying to use reverse psychology to keep his patients on track. You know say you can not do it and then they get mad and make sure they surpass his expectations to prove him wrong. Either way its not nice to say negative things when you have had great progress so far. Keep on doing what you have been doing and you will be at goal in no time.
  7. I think in this case two wrongs did make a right. HR should know better to NOT ask you and you may also get a hernia repair. Nobodys business what is going on with you.
  8. Some fish is not as dense as chicken or beef or pork. I can eat a fair size portion of Sole without feeling over stuffed. I can only eat 2-3 oz of dense Proteins like chicken and beef. Have not tried pork yet as it can be dry. I doubt you stretched your sleeve. I am sure the swelling has gone down and there is more room.
  9. I have had mild cramping times and super severe cramping times (barrel me over and feeling all cold and sweaty from the pain). I carry pain killers around with me just in case I get a bad cramp again.
  10. Diva you are looking so hot!!!!! Doesnt even look like you should lose anymore. Keep on rocking that sleeve. Thanks for the heads up on the queezy feeling and going back to liquids.
  11. SN........................starting wt.................current................goal.................lbs to goal Autumnlily................297.2.......................275.6................270.....................5.6 I knew it would slow down after 3 good weeks. I am still sure I will make my goal.
  12. You can start walking pretty much right away but I would ask your doctor when they approve for you to start heavier exercise. I think you have to wait till your incisions heal before swimming and weights are, I think but do not quote me, 2 months out. Your doctor will know better. Congratulations on starting your journey! A big welcome to the group.
  13. Welcome to the group!
  14. I dreamt about cheese mostly but did have a dream about eating carrots. It all subsided after a couple of weeks. Now I am pretty much able to eat what ever I want (really whatever sleevie wants).
  15. You will run into these non-believers from time to time. It is too bad that it had to be your doctor. I would personally try to brush it off and carry on. You will see her in a year and will probably knock her socks off when you do. Congratulations on starting your journey.
  16. I see a difference especially in your tummy. Congratulations on your 30 lb loss! Keep up the great work.
  17. I am much more cold now than I was before. Actually looking forward to the heat of summer.
  18. You are looking hot hot hot! Myori: I have to say I love that dancing banana it gives me a giggle everytime someone posts it.
  19. Warm liquids for some soothe the tummy. I know that a warm cup of herbal tea or broth went down easier than cold Water. If I had cold water in the beginning I got hiccups and they were not the nice ones either. Try what Meggie said and set a timer and take a couple of sips every 15 mins. Eventually your swelling will go down and you will have a much better time with your fluids. Sending my best wishes on your swelling going down soon!
  20. NSV is a non scale victory Something that you achieved that does not have a number attached to it.
  21. I love NSV's they really hit home with everyone. Keep up the great work Diva!
  22. Have you thought about suspenders in the interum while you are losing the weight and then can move to a belt when your belly has gotten smaller? If you do not want them to be seen put them on your pants and put your shirt over top. Your pants will stay up and you will not be uncomfortable. Just a thought.
  23. I would love to say when you will be able to get in all your fluids and Protein but its really a guessing game. I personally was able to get all my fluids in within one week of surgery (my swelling must have went down real fast). Then I was able to get in my protein within the next week. All I can say it that it does get better eventually. I would worry about your fluids first right out of surgery and then start to work on your protein. As time goes on and the swelling and healing progress you should not have any problems with your fluids or your Proteins. Welcome to the group!
  24. One month is plenty of time to recover. Congratulations on the job and getting your loan approval. You will start your new career on a good foot. I love happy endings
  25. Have you been tested for IBS or Celiac or Chrohn's disease? Have you tried lactose free milk it is called lactaid? How about almond milk (it is made from almonds)? Did you have your labs done to see what your vitamin and mineral levels are at? If I were you I would go into your doctors office and ask to have your labs done adn see if other tests can be done. See if there is an injection form of vitamins ( I know there is one for B12) and see if those will help to get you to a point where you can start to take them orally.
