I have this pain on my left side right below my ribs. There is not an insition there. I only have 2 insistions, one at my belly button and one right below my breast bone. I just assumed that my port was near my belly button, which is where I thougth that is where the doctor had told me it would be. It is the kind of pain you get when you've walked and didnt stretch proberly. that almost like a muscle cramp type pain. I am 6 days post op and feeling pretty good other than this pain. I have a follow up apt on Wednesday morning.

I make sure I take my multi vitiamin and my caclium. I have a friend that didnt and is now having to take blood transfustions every 3 months and vitiamin b shot once a week.

I was banded on August 30th in Morrow, GA. I am 32 with 4 children and a wonderful supporting husband. I am 279 or at least thats what I was 2 weeks ago and a size 22.

the gas is very normal. They add air to your stomach to be able to operate and that gas has to go some where. Walk, walk, walk. and take gas x

My doctor has me on a full liquid diet for 2 weeks post op and then 2 weeks of mush then on to solids. My full liquids inlcude yogurt and pudding.

Everything went great. They did repair my hitial hernia. So far the heart burn is gone. I am so glad. I am sore right above my belly button which is wehre they put the port. So that is to be expected. The other insistion doesnt hurt at all. I've ate a yougurt and drank my protein shake, but thats it other than my gatorade. I am accually scared to eat, lol. I go back on next Wednesday for my 1 week check up. I have had some gas, and can feel it sitting on my stomach and it wont come out a lot of times which hurts. Other than that I am doing very good. The one advice I can give is take all your vitiamns and make sure you get all your protein in. I have a friend that didnt and she is a b12 shot once a week and blood transfustions every 3 months.

Congratulations. I am going in tomorrow morning. I am so supper excited. Trying to pass the time and its not going by very fast. Going to have to take a sleeping pill tonight, cause I know if I dont I will not sleep at all. I am going to go to bed early read by book and hope to fall asleep early. I have to be at the hospital by 630 am and I live a little over an hour away from there. I pray all goes well with your sugery and post op diet.

I am getting banded tomorrow Aug. 30th, anyone else out there. Today has gone by so slow, so wish it would speed up.

I didn't have to jump through as many hoops, I got my approval 3 months after my first apt with the dieatian/ dr. I had already done some of the things needed also. What accually to the longest was waiting on the insurance. I didnt have to have a preapproval letter from them and it took them for ever to send something to my doctor letting them know that was the case.

Holy cow get a new doctor. I only had to pay a $250 program fee.

Every doctor is different. My doctor had me on a liquid diet for 2 weeks. I go in for suregury in the morning. I am soo excited. Hope you sugery went well.

wow I sure would. that would have pissed me off. I called my doctor and they would fax any paperwork i needed with in a few days
