  1. Thank you bunches for the invite. I truly feel like a support group would be helpful and I am going to look for one locally. I'm almost two hours away from FP Med center
  2. I'm doing awesome . I haven't joined a support group but I need to make time to do so @NtvTxn
  3. @BluebonnetMagnolia I'm not sure if there is anything I found better and I so desperately looked . How did everything go?
  4. Good luck lady......I need to get back on track and get my head in the game. I'm going to get moving
  5. Chellewill you should consult a trainer for some tips regarding your thighs. I have always had more than my share of thighs and behind, squats and the elliptical help keep them toned.
  6. My curves are still present and accounted for . I still haven't reached goal but so far I'm loving my figure.
  7. Congrats on your weight loss during your liquid diet and your surgery date!!!!
  8. Congrats Tia....I am wishing you the best on your journey
  9. Longer-life I'm doing awesome even 3mths late responding to your post
  10. I absolutely adore her. I have prayed and Im trusting and believing all will be fine
  11. All went well I enjoyed one martini....was slightly on my way to a buzz after about 90% of the drink but all went well. I enjoyed a night out with some sense of normallacy so it felt really well. I do not regret it at all. This morning I was back out on my protiens and healthy food choices =)
  12. I am 3ths out this week.
  13. The Bariatric Nurse in my Dr's office advised us to wait at least 4 weeks. The Doctors instructions said one year, but I only believe its because of the fact that alcohol effects us a lot faster. I am having a couple of sips of a apple martini tonight.....I did not have my first real alcohol beverage until my 30th Bday so needless to say I can not hold my liquor so therefore I will be a sipping betty. I worked all day to get in my protein, nutrients and vitamins so I am okay w/a few empty calories.
  14. I completely agree and at this moment I will make sure that I keep that in my prayers. New Focus.....Being blessed, excited, healthier and happier
  15. I truly understand the regret. I have my moments still but I keep telling myself that if I could have taken the weight off I would not have had the surgery, but there are still times I wish I would have tried harder and not had the surgery. Cheers to the end result and to better days =) I am glad you are feeling better and I am looking forward to your wonderful post of nothing but good and happy results.
  16. I agree with most that you will have to weight your options. I had a great surgery but minor complications with exhuasting and dehydration. I could not have delt with moving and healing at the same time. But truly its to each their own. I am eight weeks out and it is a very emotional journey. I am also sorry for your situation but I just have the best feeling that you will be fine with any choice you make.
  17. We had the same exact feelings. I had a friend ask me couple of days out of surgery should she go for it and my answer was "NO". I am almost six weeks out from surgery on Monday, and now my answer is "YES". I had a really rough start but now I can see clearly now the rain is gone You will get there....Just hang on in there.
  18. I thank you all and truly appreciate your input....It has truely been helpful
  19. Just wonderning because I know that doctors have their different paths for their WLS patients.
  20. I used Dr David Kim as well. My surgery has went well. I did not do well on the pre op diet but my surgery was excellent. I had my surgery on 11/22 and I am down 17 pds. The only thing that I would have liked to happen different was to see Dr Kim after my surgery. I figured that it was because it was the holidays but I am not sure. The most important thing was the surgery and I feel as if he has done an excellent job. And Dr Kim is also a Center of Excellence physician.
