  1. I just got weighed in at my VA doctor. I am now down to 367 from 440 in Aug. 2011. My diabetes, high blood pressure, and fatty liver are gone and my blood work is completely normal. I can fit in 3xl tshirts now down from 6xl. I love being banded!!!!!!!
  2. I went in for my 2nd. fill on Tues and it went fine. I am now down to 391 from 440 since Sept. I feel great and look forward to my next fill in 6 wks. I still have to S L O W D O W N when I eat. I may get a timer to make sure I am taking 20 minutes to eat. Other than that I am happy to face Christmas confidently knowing that I can control my eating with the help of my band.
  3. Since my banding on Sept 21st. I have lost 20 lbs. That makes my total weight loss at 40lbs. I went to my VA doc and she said my A1C is now at 6. She told me that I am off of all diabetic meds and am now considered not diabetic. Thanks to GOD for this progress.
  4. I am feeling better and the full feeling has not left yet. It is hard to force down the protein shakes since I feel full all the time, but I manage. The gas has finally left my shoulder area. It does hurt to cough or sneeze where they located my port, but it is not too bad. i will report next when I start on soft food in a few days. So far so good
  5. Had my surgery at 8am and got home at 6pm. It went textbook perfect. Just a little pain from the port placement and the gas pain in my left shoulder, but I am well. The surgical team was fantastic!!! more later

  9. I lost 14lbs on the first 9 days on the pre-op diet. i get my banding on Wed and I can't wait. I will make a post as soon as I get home from the hospital.
  10. I started my Pre-op diet on 9/7/11 and am scheduled for my banding on 9/21/11. I am so excited to get it done and begin this new phase of my life
  11. I am new to this site and I am scheduled to be banded on 9/21/11. The Veterans Administration is paying for the whole thing thank the Lord. I am so excited about this procedure to finally loose my weight. I am 6'3" 435lbs. now and will be starting my pre-op diet in about a week. My surgeon is Dr. Roy Schwartz and I will be banded at Capital Regional Medical Center.
