  1. I had my band removed in 2011 gained all my weight back and plus. Was sleeved on 6/25/15. My weight loss seems slow to me and I also feel I can probably eat more then I should. I read dramatic weight loss of others and find my loss doesn't compare. I don't care I'm headed in the right direction. I think there are too many variables. I find I can eat everything just a lot less. SW 261, CW 239. HW 298 in 11/14 when I started 6 month supervised diet. Before that 309 was my very highest weight. So I'm just going to keep going wherever this takes me.
  2. Sweating I can't take it any more. I randomly break out in a sweat several times a day. Not at all typical for me. Please tell me this will end. Especially around my neck and forehead. Ugh.

    Hot flashes & sweating

I'm 52 also and menopausal but was always cold prior to my surgery. I know my hormones are out of whack and think the change of diet screws with the hormones more. Thanks all for your support.

    Hot flashes & sweating

I'm sure it's hormonal. Really not exercising too much as I injured my knee. The only thing is the caffeine but I only drink tea and it doesn't necessarily seem related. Thanks for your thoughts though.

    Cold

I was always cold before my surgery, now I break out into a sweat randomly it's very annoying and foreign to me. I am menopausal but this has only been since being sleeved. My surgery date was 6/25/15, I hope this side effect ends.

    Is this normal?

I am one month post op sleeved /6/25/15, and just had my first soft food which was a scrambled egg. I ate half. I'm so nervous to eat don't want to get sick. I previously had a lap band and don't want the whole vomiting thing to occur again. Excited to move on from full liquids but nervous at the same time.

    YEAST INFECTIONS

I still have it a month later, nystatin really didn't do anything and I stopped using it. It's very annoying, supposed to see surgeon tomorrow for another follow up tomorrow so I'll see what he says. The first time I saw him he didn't act like it was a big deal or offer anything to correct it. Had to go to PCP. Keeping my fingers crossed it will go away. Tried several things with no luck yet. Still on full liquids. Don't know if that's part of the problem or not.
  8. I finished my third week today. My tongue is still coated which is annoying the medication doesn't seem to help. Also had a UTI. Hopefully that's gone will be rechecked on Monday. Also haven't been sleeping good, which is resulting in low energy. But I'm just gonna keep doing what I got do.

VSG after long term band removal?

I hope all goes well. Luckily mine was covered by my insurance. It stinks having to jump through all there hoops but I just kept doing what I had to do. I had no problems with my surgeon and they were willing to answer all my questions, which is why I choose him again.
  10. That's what I have. Got meds from PCP yesterday and they are as annoying as the thrush. Dissolve one tablet on tongue five times a day. No improvement yet but like I said only got the medicine yesterday.

VSG after long term band removal?

I had lap band about 2005 also and removed 2011. Just had sleeve done 6/25/15. Same surgeon for both procedures and band removal. Everything went well.

    New York sleevers

I'm thirteen days post op premier protein has the best taste in my opinion and 30 grams of protein they sell it in BJ's so two a day is my minimum 60grams. Not seeing much of a loss on the scale but hoping that will pass soon. Still on full liquids and surgeon says stay on as long as possible. Thankfully not hungry. I hope I see results soon. Lost about 35lbs prior to surgery. And only about 4lbs since. I live on Nassau county Long Island.
  13. I had my surgery on June 25. I had to do 6 mo. Pre op diet and two week pre op liquid diet. 12 days post op and haven't lost but about 4lbs. Lost about 35 lbs prior to surgery. Still on full liquid diet and surgeon said to stay on as long as possible will see him again on the 27th. Have been able to get about 60grams protein not hungry at all. Why aren't I losing more???
  14. Everything went well. I can say the worse part is my stomach muscle felt sore as far as trying to sleep. Very hard to turn over or sit up from a laying postion. But I managed and am doing just fine. Can eat anything no food issues. Now I just have to watch it so I don't keep adding the pounds on.
  15. I'm having my lap band removed on Thursday. Did you have any problems after, do you have to follow a special diet? Thanks for any input.
  16. Has anyone had there lap band removed and what should I expect after. I am not having another weight loss procedure.
