  1. I worked out on Monday and I was totally fine. Worked out this morning and my sugar dropped. I felt horrible. I am gonna have to up my calories a bit on workout days for sure. Thanks for your advice
  2. Thanks. I will try some fish tonight :-)
  3. I have been wondering the same thing. Interested in the replies.
  4. Hey everyone. Tomorrow I will be one month post op. I have a question for you all. On your biggest incision. Did you all have some drainage coming out at almost 4wks out? It started last night and this morning I noticed it stained my white shirt. It's not thick. It's yellowish in color. I still have a scab as well.
  5. Pre sleeved I LOVED chicken. POST sleeved I can't tolerate it. It makes me feel uncomfortable. Like i have to forced myself Not to throw up. White meat Dark meat it doesn't matter. Even super moist and blended. Sucks. I need to figure out what I can do. I can't don't shrimp either. Just fish which I was never fond of. I am just gonna have to force myself to love it.
  6. Ok so I started exercising last night, I have a trainer and all. Now this morning when I went to the gym. I had packed my gym bag with some size 16 jean Capri pants that didn't fit me until last week. So after my workout I went to go shower and saw what clothes i packed myself. I freaked out. I kept thinking to myself as I showered OH my god what if the pants don't fit me? What if when I wore then the week before it was a fluke and now that I washed then again maybe the drier shrank them. I literally tortured myself for until it was time to get the pants on. Guess what they still fit and they were actually looser. I can't believe I tortured myself mentally like that. I guess I still can't believe that I am sleeved and its working
  7. Ok so I am waiting to hear back from my NUT about this question. Now my doctor said I could start working out. I have a trainer and all. My question is. Besides the require fluid and protein we are to ingest daily. I know I calculate around 450-500 calories per day. Now with working out do we have to eat a little more or keep it as is?? Cause if for example I eat 500 calories a day and work out 300 then all my body is taking in around 200. Or am I all wrong. Someone please guide me on this
  8. Omg praying for a speedy recovery for you!!!
  9. You look great!!!
  10. Honestly it's been sooo hard. From hamburgers to Thai food, Chinese food, Mexican, Seafood, Korean BBQ, Brazilian Steak House etc... The list goes on!! All month long!! I either come prepared with my food/shakes or eat some soup or something I can have on the menu. But ordering for myself is ridiculous because it's wasteful since I can only eat a bite or two. I did cave in yesterday and had the peanut butter inside of a sugar free Reese cup but that wasn't even a spoonful of peanut butter.
  11. My mom has been in town for almost a month, to help me out after surgery. My sister also came for the weekend. Don't get me wrong with what I am about to say. I am very happy and grateful that they are both here. Sad they are leaving tonight. Butttttttt since they have never been to LA on top of me getting newly sleeved on 2/8 and adjusting I have been taking them around town for almost a month. Restuarants and food galore. I must say I think I have done pretty well considering all the temptations. But I am writing this as my mom is eating an ice cream cone and my sister is eating Toll House cookies and I am drinking water. Can I say I am a little happy that when they leave the constant daily temptations will be limited somewhat. Sorry for venting
  12. Hmm I didn't know we could eat sugar free fudgesicles hmmm gonna go but some
  13. Ok so I am 3.5weeks out and yesterday my family who is visiting me, we were out and about in town. I was craving chocolate. Something sweet. So bad me I ordered a sugar free peanut butter cup. I had the smallest bite from the chocolate but ate the peanut butter from the inside. Was this ok? Or did I just mess up everything??
  14. I am three weeks out too (purée/ soft foods) and so can I. Sometimes I can drink my protein 8oz fast (15mins) and sometimes I can't it varies. The other day I was out with my family ( they are visiting) we went to a Chinese restuarant and I had two small pieces of pepper steak, it was really soft and I chewed it over and over. I probably shouldn't have but I went unprepared. I didn't throw up though or felt sick. I felt sick when I had moist chicken breast but thigh meat went down just fine. I can eat baby bel cheese but mozerella cheese sticks feel stuck no matter how much I chew.
  15. Where do you get those? What brand?
  16. I am on week 3 and it does get better. Hang in there and do your best!!! :-)
  17. Thanks sooooo much ladies! I am heading to the pharmacy today and buying several of your suggestions. Will try them out (not all at once though :-) ) I will let you know what works.
  18. Ok I am embarrassed to asked this but I must cause I hate calling my doctor all this time. So prior to my sleeve 2/8 (post op week 3) yay! I had suffered from constipation. I would take these herbal pill and I would go, problem solved. But now my doctor recommeded I take Metamucil (which I have been everyday) and guess what I am still constipated. I can feel it and I hate it. Does anyone else have this problem? If so any recommendations?
