  6. I went back to the same place I attempted to hike last year when I came within inches of a coiled rattle snack (scurrry) so I didn't finish. Today no snakes to be seen (foggy and rainy) so I actually finished. Steep and difficult at times but I did it ...5 miles in 1:25 not bad for this ole lady with bad knees and to think I could barely walk up the stairs of my own home in 2010 truly blows my mind!!!! If you are a newbie with bad knees I'm here to tell you anything is possible Here are a few pics of me at the end of the hike, so happy...also throwing in a before Lord have mercy LOL!

  14. I forgot to respond to your last question...It's bizarre but for me when I really exercise I typically gain go figure. This year I really just said the heck with it and decided I need to get this body strong and healthy on the inside now! Losing the weight was super important but I always said I want to be thin and HEALTHY! Not thin and frail and unhealthy ...So alas, here I am. I was pretty much 144-145 for a looooooong time without this much exercise and NOW I'm finding myself holding at 148 and up to 149 a few times.
  15. You are 100% correct! I would cut out all bad foods if necessary...I actually remember hitting 148 or 149 (can't remember) and got freaked out and ate 90% good and lost 4-5 lbs. in about 3 days...It's really finding the right balance. Thanks Diva!!!
  16. I started drinking diet soda at about 10 months out ...but nothing like before.
  17. Hi Nannie! I am going to the gym M-F working out 45 min a day. I told the trainer I wanted to get strong physically and that I didn't want to lose or gain...so I do weights first then cardio. Typically 30 minutes weights first and 15 minutes cardio afterwards. On Saturdays I do outdoor activities. For the most part it's been hiking. This Saturday I will do a 5 mile hike. Summer time it will be the beach for sure (boogie boarding). I hope I do not offend or make anyone angry with my next comments, please do not judge me, here it goes. I eat everything. And it's not just Protein, I eat Pasta several times a week, I think I've had it 4x this week (I know, I know, I know). Since hitting goal, I continued to lose and was trying to maintain and added more foods to my diet, and it worked. Here's what I had today...ummmmmm on second thought, I really don't want to go there after all. Let's just say I eat ALL foods and I have for most of my sleeve journey, except initially of course. I think what's worked for me personally is the sleeve restriction. For example today I was able to eat a lot more than I typically do. Some days 2-4 bites per meal and that's it, It just depends on sleevie. So again, for me portions have been the #1 key in my sleeve journey.
  18. I had a terrible stomach burning pain when I came to...but as soon as the morphine kicked in, all was well. Giving birth was waaaaaaay worse pain wise. Also, I haven't heard of anyone else with the burning pain, just me. But I think it's better to expect the worst. I had not heard of anyone with any pain, so I was not mentally prepared. Best wishes and God speed
  19. Cheers to all of you!!! Class of 2010 yayyyy!
