  1. How did the five day pouch test work out? Hope you are doing well.
  2. $3.18 on coast of NC today.
  3. Ask your doctors office, but I pulled mine off two days after surgery so I could shower. I was told that if incisions were closed up, no harm. I was sent home from overnight stay in hospital, with anti-bacterial liquid soap... Weren't you??
  4. I was recommended MIRALAX also. Much better than METAMUCIL Clear, as it has no taste. I put it in my decaf every morning. Those who are about to be banded, get MIRALAX. You can put it in your liquids and does what it is supposed to with no cramps and "keeps things movin' " if you know what I mean *wink*
  5. How do you think you "over did?"
  6. You need to pass on that for THIS Christmas. Take care of yourself.
  7. It will be over and you won't feel anything as you are in lala land. Your surgeon will be fully prepared to correct a hiatal hernia IF you have one when you have surgery. You will do great today and sounds like you found a good surgeon.
  8. Congratulations and Good Job! You will be beautiful inside and out with that air-fill. . Let us know how you progress. PS... I came back to ask about that "breast LEFT?" I hope to heck that was a simple typo and your having both breasts lifted? *Smile*
  9. Now, THAT'S funny! It was a wonderous time to grow up. I'm boarder line 60 at 69 and banded in July after some major medical problems like A-Fib! But got 'er done and am happy with results so far. I'm convinced as we age the fat sticks in places we didn't dream of, and its harder to make the ole joints work, but we grew up tough, because we had to learn to swim or sink.
  10. ISOPURE is the only one that I could get done. I hate milk so it was a challenge. Grape Frost is one flavor over lots of ice and it was sippable.
  11. Just my opinion, but its unbelievable some of these "clinics" have you in and out in a couple hours. Did you know they weren't even keeping you until you were fully awake? I was kept a day and a half in a hospital and they gave me IV with pain medication for neck/shoulder pain and can't even imagine going thru that on my own. Please post thru out this forum and let all the pre-op candidates know of your experience and where you had surgery so they can be prepared. I had mine in Morehead City, NC and got exceptional care. The after care was wonderful too. Oh, and I was sent home with pain medication in case I needed it. I was treated like a "real patient" not just another Cash cow. It is just beyond reason to me that a doctor would let you be in pain like what you described. I so hope and pray that you get past these first days without so much pain. Again, my opinion.
  12. Tuna, as you found out, is probably not the food to start with. I still have trouble with it four months later! I went on soup ...something like chicken noodle or vegetable beef. Some foods just end up in a big ball in your pouch and not easily tolerated. You will know pretty quickly what you can eat. Slow and easy is the key.
  13. Actually, I think it could work IF your both willing adults who are SINGLE. If your married, the sneaking around would end it quickly and. Along with the friendship. Why not have sex with a best friend?? You already care abviously about each other.
  14. Gas today Dec. 14 is $3.25 on Emerald Isle, NC
