Today's my day. I have to be at the hospital At 10am. They said I would be released the same day. Sure hoping it isn't an overnight stay.

Hi Denice, I am also walking in a 3-day walk in September. I am doing the Philly walk. Which one are you in. I have some of the same concerns, mostly about getting enough Water in. I was also thinking of bringing my own Protein Snacks. Nice to meet another 3 dayer, Terri

Hi ! My surgery is set for tomorrow. August 16th. So far I hbe lost 8 pounds on the liquid diet. I am excited to get started on this journey. Just hoping that double chin will be the first thing I lose. That would be great motivation. : ) Thanks terri.

Hi all A11's Well my surgery is tomorrow. I guess it is really starting to sink in now. I have only lost 8 pounds on the 2 week liquid diet. In the real world before that would have been great. I guess I was just hoping for more. It was my first time doing a liquid diet. I know I shouldn't complain. It would take me 2 months to lose that much in past attempts. So I am moving forward knowing there is more to come.

I am Struggling on day 6 of the liquid diet. I have 9 more days to go. I am hungry. And feel decrease in energy. Today has been the hardest day so far. I keep thinking of food. Ughh !!!

I'm on day 5 of the liquid diet. It is tough. The shakes do a pretty good job of taking the hunger away for me, but when the hunger creeps back in I make sure I am getting in enough Water, crystal light, and I was told I could have sugar free Jello. Keeping my eye out for other tips. Just curious, what do you mean" poped my gun " ? Hang in there!!!

I'm on day 4 of the pre-op liquid diet. Ughhh!! Can't wait till this is over. I have to do it for 2 weeks. My surgery date is August 16. Here is a stupid question. Why is it important to shrink the liver ? Good luck to all August Bandsters !!

Wondering if anyone has any experience of having the lap band while being on tamoxifen. I am on tamoxifen, and am wondering if it will effect my Weight loss with the Lap band. A lot of woman complain of weight gain on tamoxifen, and while I dont know if I really gained any more weight while on it, I do know that it has made it VERY difficult to loose weight. I am currently on day 3 of my 2 week liquid diet. Surgery is August 16. I guess I am just worried that I will go through this surgery and still will have a difficult time loosing the weight. I know that's a common fear with newbies. Just wondering if anyone has any input. Thank you !

Hi All, I just got the call on Thursday that I got approved !! I am scheduled for August 16th. So excited and of course a little nervous. I start my 2 week pre op diet on august 1st. The dr.'s office has it so you buy the shakes from them ? Is this normal ? I am to have these shakes 4 times a day for 2 weeks. I hope I can make it. I am walking/traing to walk in the 3Day breast cancer walk, will I have the strength at this time to keep up my walking ? also my dr. Recommend 2-3 weeks off work. I really don't think I can afford to take off that long. I do not have vacation pay. Do you think I will be okay after 1 week if I watch myself and keepuself restricted ? Thank you.
