  1. That is so awsome! Great Job! I have my 12 wk checkup tomorrow, and I haven't done that well, but I am so happy that I got my sleeve. I never could have done this on my own. I'm down 41lbs. total, 10 pre-op and 31 post-op. I still have a ways to go, but this was definitely the best decision I have ever made. Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I use fitday.com it's a great website. You can track cal/carbs/fat/protein. It lists it out for you, and it also give you a pie chart that is great to look at. You can track your weight, and journal and everything. It's free.
  4. Hi Kate, I'm on pureed foods for another two weeks. I probably am not getting enough calories. Its really hard because I'm not hungry, and I feel like if I keep forcing god down, I'll stretch my new stomach out and be right back where I started. How have you been doing? Are you still losing? I hope its going well for you.
  5. I feel your pain. I will be 2 weeks out tomorrow, and I haven't been losing really since I added full liquids. I can barely get half of my protein in, and I'm not even going over 500 cal/day. I don't understand how I am not losing. I am ready to get smaller, and today I don't feel smaller. I am really working on getting all my water in, and it's not helping. What is wrong with this picture. I'm not ready to stall yet. I know I can't lose forever, eventually there will be maintaining, but I want to lose now. I lost 10 the week before the surgery, and 10 the week after (while on clear liquids), but nothing this last week. HELP!!!
  6. Sorry my post went on here so many times. I appreciate the advice. I just get so full on those shakes and I'm having a hard time finding the isopure, I guess I'll look online. Tomorrows a new day right?
  7. How do you all get all of your protein in? I try, but I'm still on full liquids and I get so full I can't stand it. Any suggestions?

  10. Hi Krista, I'm 6 days out, and I'm doing pretty good. I admit, I have had some back and forth feelings in the last few days. All in all, I've been really happy with my decision. I think the hardest part is just trying to cook and stuff for my family. It's really hard when I know that I can never eat the way I used to. I know the way I ate wasn't healthy, obviously, but I just miss eating. I've got to get past that. I think I'm going to have to find some hobbies out of the house so I'm not tempted all the time. I haven't had any physical hunger at all, but I am dying to eat. I've even been dreaming about food. I know it's crazy. I wish you the best of luck. I'm sure you'll do great. Stay on this site. It's wonderful, and the support is incredible for whatever you are going through on your journey.
  11. You'll be just fine. If I can give you one piece of advice, walk as son as they get you back to your room. Even if it's just to the door and back. I didn't have serious pain, but the pressure from the gas is extremely uncomfortable. It feels like an elephant during on your chest. Walking helps. Good luck. I just had mine tuesday and I'm doing really well.
  12. I'm two days out and the gas pains are extremely uncomfortable. I have been walking inside my house, and a little bit outside, but that requires putting a bra on which is also uncomfortable. I'm hoping in the next couple of days it gets better. Are you having trouble getting your fluids in. I don't know, to fit them all in there.
  13. Kate Marie, tomorrow is the big day. Can you believe it's here? I'm so excited and nervous, but I think my husband is more nervous. I'll be praying for you tomorrow. Make sure to post how your doing. Where is your surgery? I don't even know what part of the country you live. I'm in Cincinnati, Oh. Good luck tomorrow!!!
  14. Thanks for thinking of me. Hows your protein going. My headache has gone away, and tomorrow is the big day. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'll be thinking of all you guysand praying for you also.
  15. This is my second day and I'm tired too. Worse than that, my head has been killing me today. It was so bad I couldn't concentrate at work. I found someone who had one Tylenol (cuz I can't take Advil before the surgery) and it finally went away, but I have no energy. I think it's sugar withdrawal. I know it's all going to be worth it come next Tuesday. I just keep telling myself that.
  16. Kate, I am right here with you. My surgery is 9/13 also and I'm getting a little nervous. I keep thinking, "What if I'm the one person that this doesn't work for?" I have to do the pre-op diet for one week. I just started this morning. I have never gone a whole week on a diet that I didn't cheat at least once (or 5x). I have been exercising, so I hope that helps with recovery. I'll be your support, along with everyone on this site. Only my husband and one of my friends accept why I'm doing this, but they don't really understand. I need this tool. I know I can't do this on my own. I'm so ready for a new life. The life that I had years ago, that I didn't appreciate of take care of. Once I have this tool, I'm never going back. I just had birthday, and I feel like I'm starting my life over again. It's been a long 6 months jumping through hoops to get this approved, but I'm ready. Let do this thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll check back on you tomorrow and see how you are doing. Keep up the great work, we are almost there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next Tuesday will be here before we know it.
