It's my turn tomorrow! Surgery at 7:30am. I am very excited, a little hyper, but not too nervous. I even asked to be the first surgery of the day. lol I can't wait! I am expecting the first few weeks to be rough, but... I-AM-READY!!!! Ready to be healthier, ready to hopefully live a longer life, ready to have more energy, ready to enjoy life to the fullest. Could you please send me good vibes, prayers etc? I am not picky. I will take anything positive. :tongue2:

Allergy Medicine
Update. I will be allowed to take all my medicines that include Zyrtec & Nasonex the night before my surgery. I will be given all my medications (pills are small) at the hospital after surgery, so I won't have to skip any dosage. Good luck!

So, Just How Many Times Did You Freak Out Before Gastric Sleeve Surgery!
The percentage of Bariatric patients with sleep apnea must be high. I am confident most bariatric teams handle this daily. I have severe sleep apnea and my pulmonologist cleared me for surgery AND wrote instructions that's asks for extra attention post surgery. This actually put me at ease instead of worrying me. I plan on showing those instructions to nurses, anesthesiologist, surgeon & whoever else come to see me right before surgery. You can even mention it at your pre- op meeting if you wish. Maybe I'm in denial. I hope not. I honestly added this to the laundry list of things that Everyone has to sign before any surgery. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Breathe in, Breathe out. Big hug to you

Ashamed of WLS?
This is offensive & hurtful. I doubt you have statistics to back this up but even if you did, this has no place in this forum. I was born in one of those " such places" and have been living in America for more than half my life. I am an American.......Actually I will stop now and spare you the history lesson. I come here for support and I now find myself angry & offended. I won't do the same to you. Hopefully we can stick to our common struggles and leave immigration , politics , religion and other topics somewhere else.

Ashamed of WLS?
Very true! I want everyone to know they don't have to be obese or childless for life. After surgery on Wednesday I will tell anyone who asks . I do the same with adoption. The occasional rude comments annoy me and hurt my feelings but I get over it.

Aetna Approved My Gastric Sleeve Surgery In Less Than 72 Hours!
Thanks for the FYI! What was the bill? Was it the nurse assistant or pathology? I found it strange the hospital made me sign separate papers for these charges. Good luck on the panni, I am sure I will need one too!
