How Many Vitamin Pills Do You Take Daily?
Somehow I think I have to take more than anyone else and I am having a hard time with it. Granted they are included in the surgeons fees (for the first 3 months), but I don't want to take so many if I don't have to. These are Vitamins I have to take daily : 3 Multivitamins 1 Iron 2 anti-oxidant 6 Calcium (this and the multi drives me nuts) Also daily : potassium, PPI, prescription antacid gas-x my own 3 prescriptions (non related to VSG) weekly B complex sublingual and Vitamin D That is 18 a day plus the weekly liquid antacid, Vitamin D and B-12! I don't mind the cost as long as it good quality and less amount of pills, but if I have to put my big girl panties and take them all, I will do that too. How many do you take?

Hysterectomy
One of my hospital sleeve sister was really really tired. Like some here, she took naps for a week or two. Thats WAY better than pain! LOL Will you have a drain? Seems its no big deal for some and others can't wait to have it out. I didn't have one.

Eggs
I don't know when you had surgery but seems by your post that it was after me. I am 6 1/2 weeks out and finished my first egg today. I barely did it and was full for a very long time. So you are doing great. At this stage you should still supplement with a protein shake to reach your goals. Balancing eating real foods, not drinking for an hour after eating and still meeting my fluid and protein goals have been a little challenging for me. It is getting better every day though. Best wishes!

How Many Incisions Did You Get?
One. Through my belly button, using the Spider Surgical System. I suspect in the future that is how all VSGs will be done. I had no pain, soreness, feeling like I did sit ups, oozing, drain..........nothing.

Hubby Is Being Rude....your Opinion Please
On your first post you said "I brought it up and asked if he still believes in his earlier hypothesis" Either way, you are not responsible for his weight issues, but I do think it will all stop and he might lose weight if you don't mention it again or fall for his bait.

Baby Food?
I think the poster was referring to the diet we had right after surgery. The salty canned soup & broth, baby food, Crystal light, yogurt, applesauce stage. Not a long term thing. According to my NUT commercially bought baby food was fine at that stage. I ate a total of 4. Follow your doctors orders.

When Does The Non Stop Burping Stop
My surgeon suggested I place liquids at the back of my throat and then swallow. However we later discovered it was my CPAP machine filling me air, not that I was taking in air, but rather displacing it. I no longer burp a lot. Hopefully this helps.

Hubby Is Being Rude....your Opinion Please
FIrst of all, a hig hug to you. You sound so sweet in your post. You have received wonderful advice. I want to add that my husband is never insensitive about my weight UNLESS I mention his. lol He would most definitely tell me I am not thin , and he would be right, even if I was under 200 pounds. SOOO, since I started researching this surgery back in July, I decided not to say a thing about his obesity and sure enough, I noticed yesterday he is losing some weight. I suspect he will lose some more when I start walking 5Ks in the spring and summer. Your husband will probably do the same.......if you don't mention anything again.

I Almost Regret Having Had This Sleeve Gastrectomy!
Sorry I missed this part. My surgeon said that if in 2 days the nausea wasn't gone, he would give me an iv. I never got to that point, but I think that was supposed to rehydrate me and allow me to drink and eat more, therefore avoid the nausea. Perhaps others can chime in. I wonder if it is a good idea that you go to the emergency room to get this done.

I Almost Regret Having Had This Sleeve Gastrectomy!
I am sorry you are having a hard time. We all react differently, your surgeon shouldn't have gotten your expectations up. My first three weeks were great, but yet I couldn't imagine going to work after a week or two. I was still sipping and walking constantly at that time. I wouldn't have been able to focus on something else. Others can do it with no problem whatsoever. I got nausea on week 4. The suppositories (Promethazine) helped but I still couldn't drink or eat the amounts needed, so it was becoming a vicious cycle.( Not eating enough calories makes you nauseous). I thought it was my new PPI (acid med) which can cause nausea. A swallow test went well but it showed huge air pockets on my esophagus. My surgeon suggested I stop using my CPAP for one night (and drink real Gatorade for calories) and sure enough, the nausea went away immediately. The gases in my tummy were not letting me eat or drink enough. I stopped using my CPAP and the nausea has never returned. I think the key is to keep calling your surgeon constantly. I did not leave them alone until we found out what was going on. I was good about taking their advice and good about calling back if it wasn't working. Heck, I was not going to live with daily nausea. I hope this helps and you feel better soon!
