  1. That is an amazing feeling.... Good for you!!!! I too find I am in a smaller size then what I was at this same weight 7 years ago. I do the samething maybe the sizes just run bigger now lol...But I think some of the weight I have is alot of lose skin... If you take all that away then I would most likly lose another 20 pounds and the sizing would be about right.

  6. I had my sleeve done 6/2/11. I have fought my weight all my life, not something I have ever ever been in control of. But thanks to the sleeve I have lost 94 pounds in less than 5 months. So here is a during picture lol.... I am not an after YET! But I will be because I am worth it. The one in the black was taking today. The one in the white was taken July of 2010 for my 40th birthday.
  7. we had surgery a day a part... I am down 89 pounds total. I only did a 2 week diet before. Doesn't make you feel so young and just want to shout out to the world LOL... LOOK AT ME!!! I am guess we started around the same place too by your BMI. Good luck.
  8. HOLY COW!!!! You look 20 years younger. You look Ahhh mazing
  9. I was sleeved June 2 I have lost a total of 75 pounds. I am eating around 600 to 900 cal a day. I still can only eat about 1/3 to 1/2 a cup at a time depending on what it is. I seem to have alot of stalls. They normally last about 2 weeks or so. I am on one right now as I type. But once I start losing again I tend to lose about a pound a day. I still say this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. It is amazing.
  10. About 2 1/2 weeks out. I had already lost 36 pounds (with the two weeks before the surgery diet) and it last about 2 weeks. I lost and gained the same 2 to 3 pounds over and over. One morning I weighted myself and I was down all three pounds. Then again at about week 10 or so I had another one. I was down 64 pounds. Lost and gain the same 2 pounds over and over for about 2 weeks.
  11. I was really hungry about day 10 I mean to the point I couldn't sleep. I remember being so mad at someone for saying it was only head hunger and to deal with it. I talked to my dr and started pureed foods about a tablespoon at a time. Now I really don't get hungry. In fact if I am busy busy I will not even notice the time. I do have acid problems, I am on two meds for that. Now I am 10 weeks out and sometimes my tummy will growl and I know I need to put food in it. But most of the time I eat because I know it is time to eat. And I feel an empty feeling more than a hunger feeling. So around 2 or 3 hours I will eat one or two small squires of beef jerky and I am good until my next meal.
  12. thanks for such a detailed post. I had my surgery june 2. Oh and I plan to use and reuse your reply... LOL thats some funny stuff right there.
  13. You know its funny you say that because the same thing happen to me. I could see better without my glasses the first day or two. But now things are back to normal.
  14. 9 weeks since surgery 6/2/11 pre op 19 post op 40 Total 59 pounds. I still have lots left but I feel awesome....
  15. I agree. My 5 year old used to tell me I was fat before the surgery. I told him that although it was true, it wasn't a nice thing to say about people and he could hurt peoples feelings. One day after my surgery he was sitting in the recliner with me and he was trying to feed me a chex mix. I told him no mommy can't have that. He said "Mommy why don't you eat anymore?" I replied remember when mommy went in the hospital? He says yes. I say well they made mommys tummy very small and she can only eat a very little bit. He thinks for a second and says "on the inside?" I asked him what do you mean? He said they made your tummy on the inside small? I said yeah he said oh ok because the outside is still very big LOL.... Oh and he doesn't call people fat anymore. He calls them wide like that is any better hahaaa.
  16. I agree. I have been judged more now on what I eat than when I was 377. When you are super obese you become almost invisable. When someone knows you have had the surgery and you start losing, people (be it skinny OR fat) think its ok to judge or comment on what you had for lunch etc.
  17. You look amazing. I am going to start the cto5k very soon. What weight do you start it at? I added you on facebook also.
  18. I live in the Houma area.... and I love the Rau's.
  19. I thought I was the only one in the whole world who had this problem.. Its been almost 6 weeks for me and OMG I hate the sound of my husband making him a "milkshake" He puts tons of chocolate ice cream in a glass then adds milk and he clinks and stirs and all that good stuff for like 5 min. Then as he is eating he stirs it the whole time... It drives me nuts. I have no idea why. I just leave the room. I don't want to complain about everything he does.
  20. I had to pay the dr. 700.00 up front and the hospital 1200.00 up front. That is what was left of my out of pocket.
  21. I do the same shake but I use unsweetened Almond milk and I use PB2 LOVE IT.....
