  2. precision all natural whey from new zealand it is not tasteless just unflavoured
  3. I've started adding my unflavoured protein powder to my water with a crystal lite pack and it is good, still light and refreshing. Does anyone else do this or do you get enough protien from food alone?
  4. Looking for lunch ideas for work as well as interested in how much food/what kinds of foods you eat at your particular stage in the band process. Today's lunch was a can of salmon and a few grapes. Wonder if I will reach a point when I can only eat half a can of salmon or even less?
  5. Oh wow you are all doing so well. I had a complete unfill after my surgury due to swelling and they have been putting the Fluid back in .2cc's at a time. Right now I am at 4.8cc and starting to feel that truly not hungry or thinking about food feeling. I also skipped a few months of going in for a fill because I found it hard to take one day off a month from work. Can I ask you a few question for comparison: 1. How many cc's do you have? 2. At what point did you really start to feel restriction? 3. How much exercise do you do and how have your habits changed in the past year Thanks so much I find this type of sharing very inspirational :0)
  6. Just wanting to compare notes with others who were banded around the same time as me. So far I've lost 35 pounds, doesn't seem like a lot for a year but it has been a huge lifestyle change and I know I need to exercise!!!
  7. I'm losing slowly but just cant seem to exercise, which I know will speed up the process.....at what point did you start exercising? How much how long?It feels overwhelming to me right now.
  8. I got a fill last week and feel good restriction. I only have 4.8cc in a 10cc band and I'm on the edge of the green zone. Many people have much more restriction than I do and I was wondering what happens when you have to throw up? flu? I just had an episode of dry heaves for no food related reason, my family has been sick, but I did not throw anything up, even though I just had dinner. Is it possible for your lower stomach contents to come through the small band opening? Have you had the flu yet?
  9. mis73 congrats on your loss you did really well really quickly!!!!
  10. I havnt lost that much weight but it seems ive lost a little all over EXCEPT my stomach....it looks bigger than ever!
  11. I am excited that I am finally starting to go down in clothing sizes. I feel like I am still attracted to larger clothes because they hide my newly drooping skin but they are unflattering in the shoulders and on my body as a whole. How have you coped with wearing the right size but hiding the flab factor?
  12. yum what is your recipe? Also, how do you update your ticker? I dont remember my pin...great weightloss!!!!!!
  13. Trying to add more protein without too many extra calories to my day, just wondering if you add proetin shakes or powder to your meals? Why or why not? Looking for the pros and cons I just starting adding unflavoured powder to my curries and greek yogurt. It definitely fills me up!!!! keeps the emotional eating away because I feel so full, not an over eating feeling just very satisfied.
  14. I'm not sure I'm at full fill yet.......how many fills have you had? I can't wait to start really dropping it.
  15. When you eat soup or salad do you follow the 1 cup rule? I just had a bowl of tomato soup with cheese and crackers and I ate 2 cups of soup and feel so bloated!!!!
  16. Thanks everyone, I think I will cut my calories and see how it feels.....I have upped my exercise so I should be seeing results!!
  17. Thanks that is helpful.......I eat about 1800 and feel great but losing slowly......I use livestrong.com to count my calories and it says I should eat 2300 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week.
  18. I had the flu the other day and it was just one throw up but it took 3 really good heaves to come up. Now I feel like I can eat more than usual. I feel fine and don't have any problems right now but feel worried........I know we are not suppose to throw up. Anyone else experienced this........
  19. I'm hesitant to eat 900-1200 calories at my current weight but wonder if this should be my goal.......Do you try to eat a certain amount of calories to fuel your weight....my weight loss has been slow but i don't want to go into starvation mode either.......any suggestions would be helpful.
  20. I'm on week 5 after surgery and feel great. Have been back to aquafit 3 times this week. I do notice my stomach bounces up a lot during fitness but it is not painful. Is it too soon to start aquafit?
  21. Thanks for your honesty Marci.........that makes me feel human.
  22. What happens if you overeat with the band? I am 1 month out, have no fill and sometimes eat more than my 1 cup of food because I don't feel restriction. Will the band stop me from over doing it or am I putting my band at risk?
  23. Hi Everyone! I am 4 weeks banded and feeling healed and back to my old self pretty much. I thought I would have lost a ton of weight by now because I am eating waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay less calories but I have not lost any weight since surgery. Is this odd? When will I start the ball rolling? Has this happened to anyone else?
