  1. my initial weigh in was 267 pounds...i had surgery 2 months ago and i weigh 235 -- slowly but surely i will get to my goal
  2. its just a pinch...if you got the lapband, then this is cake (so to speak lol)
  3. my a1c before surgery was 6.3...since surgery it is now a 5.8 (normal) -- with your weightloss, your numbers will go down
  4. i didnt do the imaginary lap band , but i did start doing the shakes before i was supposed to so i could get an idea of what i liked and kind of whean myself off food. you'll be able to lose weight doing the pre-op diet early Good luck!

  6. i had surgery friday december 16th and returned to work tuesday december 20th...i have a desk job so its not so bad

    i am 5 days out and feel great! i havent peeled the 'glue' off my cuts ....im waiting for them to peel off on their own--other than the bruising by the incision sites all is well.
  8. i didnt have to do one because i was on liquids 2 weeks prior to surgery....there wasnt anything to clean out :/

  12. does the office have an advocate for you? my doctor's office has one person who handles all of my paperwork and if i have any questions, i call her. she sent my paperwork in and i got approved in 7 days---my surgery is on friday. yippee!
  13. my surgery is friday and the only way to feel kind of full is eating jello and drinking the shake really slow. its hard at first, then you get used to it. ive lost 10 pounds in 10 days
  14. i am on day 7 of the liquid diet and i find its getting easier and easier...i have lost 7 pounds in 7 days.
  15. i am on day 7 of my liquid diet and i must agree the first 3 days were the pits! its getting easier --- i have lost 7 pounds in 7 days; my surgery is next friday.
  16. ok...i started my liquid diet today and i ate some sugar free jello and was drinking my protein shake and i almost threw up I'm trying to keep in mind that its just 2 weeks and its for surgery, but i need some encouragement...someone tell me its not going to be like this for the next 13 days.

  18. way to go! my pre-op diet starts tomorrow and my surgery is scheduled for december 16th
  19. i just got my approval today.....i have officially become a December bandster!!yippee!
  20. My doctor submitted my paperwork (i have BCBS) on 11/09/2011 and i called today to check on the approval and they told me it was approved on 11/18/2011 --- wahoo!!
  21. if you get it removed now, then you can give your body time to heal and get your band in december; i got mine removed 4 last month....its no biggie!
  22. i had my gallbladder removed september 23rd...i had it removed on a friday and back to work on tuesday -- not a big deal.
  23. I had my gallbladder removed last Friday 09/23/2011 -- i was up and moving the sameday (i have a 18 month old) just a little sore (like i did a lot of sit ups). I went back to work Tuesday 09/27/2011; i feel great! if Lapband surgery is easier than gallbladder surgery, then it should be a piece of cake!
  24. think of it as the best nap you can get; i havent had any problems and I feel really rested afterward
