  1. my mom sent me to my room while she cooked dinner. not only am i a prisoner in my own body but now my own home. i hope to feel better about not eating after surgery.
  2. i find the Protein shakes to be HORRIBLE! that after taste is crazy. my dr has me on shakes, Water & meal at night. i sip 1 Protein Drink throughout the day, drink water all day long & for dinner, ive been doing salads or coldcuts or just cheese. its driving me a lil crazy & hasnt gotten easier. if anything, by the day, it gets harder
  3. giiiiiiiiirl join the club! im having my surgery on the 20th as well and im on my preop! im having cravings but i just eat things with no carbs & that has Protein & drink a whole lot of water! the Protein shakes are gross so i take sips here & there but thats about it. :/ good luck to u
  4. congrats! dont worry about the needles! they sound scarier than they really are! as far as the drain, not all surgeons use drains but i think its more of fluids rather than blood. youtube or google it.
  5. i am 5 days into my 14 day pre-op diet. i was down 7lbs on my 3rd day of my pre-op. surgery is scheduled for dec 20th! i guess we shall see how much more i lose.
  6. wow! congrats on your weight loss. god bless!
  7. well the number is the size of your back. the letter is the size of your breast. as someone listed above, some women have fat in their breast and others have tissue. if your breast are fat filled, itll disappear as you lose weight.
  8. yikess! the thought of your hubby bumping into your tummy reminds me of the time my cat jumped from the floor onto the top of my stomach & pounced off while she was in one of her hyper moods after my gall bladder surgery! i think the tears came faster than the pain did!!!!! she did this 2 times to me! the first time was as soon as i laid down from walking in the house & the 2nd time was maybe 3 days later! i swear, my cat is so evil! her name is diva & she lives up to her name.
  9. my next suggestion would be to wait until the new year. then 2009 shouldnt matter. only 2010-2011 will matter as you will now be in 2012!
  10. have you been feeling better? eating properly? getting protein in? exercising? those r the only things i can think of thatll slowdown weight loss. :/ i know u werent feeling good before and that could be it. your body can be at a stall because its tryna catch up to everything going on
  11. its aggravating to wait but time will fly! im now 9 days (cuz its after midnight here) from surgery. preop diet is kicking my ass now BUT i didnt think j could get thru 4 days of this! if i can do 4, i can do 9 more...... i think :/
  12. for the first time in 6 months, im starting to have some doubts. i wanted this soooo bad and now that im approved with surgery scheduled, im beginning to wonder if im doing the right thing. its like 1% doubt. not a high percentage. but when i look in the mirror, that 1% drops to 0.01%. lol. still there but its very low! lol.
  13. how much have you lost so far? how long have you been at 220?
  14. hallelujah! i think i have more tissue!
  15. wow! thats HORRIBLE! thankfully i know ppl who have had surgery where im having it and i know i wont get that kind of care cuz if i didnt, your story wouldve made me run for the hills! thats BANANAS!
  16. wow! thats HORRIBLE! thankfully i know ppl who have had surgery where im having it and i know i wont get that kind of care cuz if i didnt, your story wouldve made me run for the hills! thats BANANAS!
  17. congrats! my surgery date is dec 20th! im on my liquid diet & these shakes are HORRIBLE!!!!! my surgeon approved of 1 shake a day, water all day & a meal at night.
  18. it took me about 8 days. im not exactly sure when the papers were submitted but i believe they were submitted on a tuesday & i got my approval the following week on a wednesday. im scheduled for dec 20th. have patience love! good luck to u
  19. im sorry u had that type of experience. im glad you turned out ok! god bless u!
  20. ive never been but i guess some good tips would be, use the bathroom prior to the call so youre not holding it while youre on the phone. take a tylenol or two before so that youre not too tensed and dont work up a headache. maybe write a little speech about how being denied has made you feel and how badly you need this and what being obese is to you physically (dont mention appearance & dont make it too long). have a glass of Water to relax you. dress comfortably so you can relax. and play out scenarios in your head. thats really the only advice i can give you since thats what i would do. good luck to you
  21. i think im already subscribed but ill look you up
  22. i know the feeling! my journey is a secret to my family but open book to the world. isnt that weird?! lol. im still very uncomfy so some videos are private. hopefully, itll get better!
