    weight watchers

I rejoined Weight Watchers last week too. I seem to be in a holding pattern with my weight loss for awhile now. I still need to lose 28 pounds to be at the top end of what is considered a healthy weight and need to push past this self-imposed stall.

That is great! I am looking forward to be saying that very soon as well. I got my 5% sticker last Saturday and that felt pretty good too.

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Well, I have been M.I.A. for a few weeks now. I was in a car accident just over a month ago and have been recovering from that. Nothing life threatening thank God, but the whiplash and the medications to help deal with that have kept me from working out, and sooo tired! Tired is bad for me, because it makes me crave sweets and comfort food. I skipped a few weigh-ins, but I did go last Saturday and I was happy to see only a 0.3 increase on the scale. I have been given the go ahead to start working out again as long as I listen to my body and don't push too hard. I have been faithfully tracking this week as well, so hopefully the scale will show me something good this upcoming Saturday. Hope everyone is having a good week!
  6. Having a tough week making good food choices. If I don't turn this around the scale is going to agree too!

I lost a 1/2 pound last week. Unfortunately since the Saturday weigh-in I have not made good food choices. Went and did groceries yestday, bought a ton of veggies, made a big pot of the 0 point veggie soup and I am intending to finish the rest of the week on a positive. Have a great week everyone!

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Had my first weigh in on Saturday and I lost 5.2 lbs. While I am thrilled, I know that was mostly water weight. Next Saturday's weigh in will be a better reflection of my efforts. But hey, still did a happy dance over the number!
  10. First workout since I sprained my knee. Had to take it so easy, but it feels good to moving again.

    Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread

Hi everyone, I am so happy that this thread is here. I joined WW on this past Saturday. I think this is the 4th time for me, but the 1st time since being banded. I think that I need the accountability of weighing in every week as well as the weekly support meetings to keep me focused on this goal. I was banded last summer and to date, have only lost 12lbs. I need to gain control of this. Glad to be a part of this support group and I look forward to reading the posts from people in the same situation. Have a great day!
  12. Going for my second fill this morning. I am hoping that this will be my sweet spot finally as the scale just won't budge.

    Newbie from Canada

Hi Everyone, I am from Calgary too! I have been banded for 10 weeks now. Although I cannot boast big weight loss numbers yet, I am finally getting the hang of this new lifestyle and have had some really good NSV's of late. Good luck on your surgeries and keep up posted!

    Lightbulb!

I am finally learning how to work this band properly! I have been banded for 10 weeks now and up to this point have been letting the little guy try and do all the work with no results other than the scale going up by 4lbs. I have read on here that the band is a tool that you have to work with; but I guess I never really got it and was hoping that I could still eat whatever I wanted, just less of it, and still lose weight. After the past few weeks of being frustrated and still hungry, etc, I called the nutritionist on my support line. We went through my food journal and she gave me a few great tips. She asked me to really follow the diet guidelines for one week before deciding to go for the second fill as she didn't want the band to be too tight. (I currently have 8cc's) Well, I commited to that and am happy to say that after only 2 days, I have already dropped 3 lb and have no crazy hunger/cravings either. Hmmm, maybe these people really DO know what they are talking about. Whatever it is, as long as the scale keeps going down, I am one happy bandster!

need to get back on track

I am fairly new as well, 10 weeks post-op. I have not been making the best choices the past 2 weeks and I am determined to get back on track. What is the 5-day pouch test?
  17. razzcatt

Soo i think part of the reason

I am having a bit of a struggle in this area as well. I currently have 8cc's in my band and I am considering going for another fill, however, I will get slightly stuck now if I don't chew enough or pay attention to my food. The food program I have been put on is 1300 calories a day and I am still so hungry. I see on here that people are consuming 800 calories and are feeling satisfied by that as well as losing weight consistently. Is that what I should be striving for? I just don't want to have too much of a fill and end up with problems from being too tight. But the truth of the matter is that I am not losing the weight at this time. "sigh"

    The Harvest Moon Challenge

    Checkin in @ 191!! down 2lbs.
  21. I feel restriction! I had my first fill on Tuesday and went through my day not feeling any different. This morning I am having a egg white omlette w/ veg and bam! Almost a stuck feeling. No more mindless chewing for me! YAY!!

  22. At around 5 1/2 weeks I too was waking up with the terrible shoulder pain. I would have to take advil and put muscle rub on it just to get some sleep. I wasn't eating late and am not sure why it was bothering me, but it has subsided the last few nights; I am about 7 weeks post-op now.
  23. I haven't told anyone about the surgery. I have struggled with my weight since I was a teen, and my family has heard me say year after year how "this is the year I am going to lose this weight" only to fail. As I am the only one who is overweight they have never really understood the struggles and loss of self-esteem that I have gone through because of this excess weight. I am afraid that if they knew, they would think I took the easy way out. So for now, my family and friends will see me eating properly and exercising, and for once, see it working!

    The Harvest Moon Challenge

No change for me this week. 193 is my weight.
