A guy getting used to his new motor
You are right everyone is different. I was released after I had my leak test & took a pee. I do not have any other health issues but was fat. So I was lucky. Dr Clark says he doesn't like to keep people in the hospital because you recover better at home & are less likely to get a infection.

Did your VSG make you "EMOTIONAL"?
You went back to work 4 days post op...I'd be crying too! Yep I was emotional before & after. I broke down in the doctors office while talking about getting the sleeve & how it saved my life. Also talking to people about it I get choked up because it is such a life changing event. I think this is normal. No one knows what this means to us unless you have been there. But I do know 3 people have had the sleeve done because of me. I'm glad about that.

That's GREAT! The Sleeve ROCKS!

Is there anyone on here who has had a rupture/leakage??
If you follow your doctors instruction you will not have a leak. It is lasered & stapled.

A guy getting used to his new motor
Nice story. Good details, but every one is different. My Doctor does the Gastric Sleeve as a out patient. I went in at 7AM & home buy 3:30PM. Was off pain medichine next day, 3rd day I was out side walking & 4th day back to normal & walking my 2.5 miles. Only problem was learning to drink. As for walking into a operating room is a new one. I fell asleep as they pushed my bed towards the operation room. Matter of fact I thought they forgot to operated on me when I first woke up. Glad you are doing ok. The sleeve is a wonderful tool!

About TASTE
I saw on Dr OZ talk about taste. Say's bad fat will affect our taste buds & make them work less. By getting off of the bad fats our taste buds come back. I think this is what happened to us who have a greater taste since the surgery. We are eatting right & WOW! The taste on everything is strong. What do you think?

Very nice NSV.

It's very discouraging to hear of people going for surgery and many don't respond after
The surgery went so well they do not need the forum. Getting your life back together keeps you busy. Take your pick.

GGGOOOOAAAALLLLLLL!
Congrats! Now for the dizziness....Dr told me to take salt. I was going through the same thing last week. I put some salt on my hand every morning & lick it out. My dizzyness stopped right away. Dr said with the weight loss this is normal. Our bodies are losing to much salt. Great weight loss!!!

Can hardly eat a thing
I use a baby spoon. I even use it at work. I love it! You can not use a table spoon or a regular spoon. Talk to your Dr. Mine told me my stomach was very small & maybe in a year it will stretch out, where a small child's plate size portions will be allowed. Just remember you are learning how to eat all over again.
