  1. This is totally normal but don't get too excited because it will slow down. 1-3 lbs is the average weight loss.
  2. I am totally addicted to Jazzercise. I been doing that 4 days a week. I've walked only 10 miles this month
  3. PI do Jazzercise 3-4 days a week and walk 5 miles on the treadmill 1-2 days.
  4. I do Jazzercise 3-4 days a week and walk 5 miles on the treadmill 1-2 days.
  5. I am hard headed sometimes and have stuck episodes. Mainly its fries or rice. If they are Mcdonalds fries I may be able to eat 2-3 with lots of ketchup but if they are the Oreda from home, I can hang it up. They just won't go down. I have reluctanlty learned that thats one food that I have to give up. Pineapple is another food I cannot eat. It makes me hurt really bad. Getting stuck is a bad feeling but you learn to avoid food that will cause it and learn to chew really well so that it doesn't happen often. It usually happens about 2-3 times a month. When it does, I stand up, raise my arms up and jump up and down. If that doesn't help, I will go and slowly regurgetate it up.
  6. Protein shots make me gag. I use the Target brand chocolate protein mix with skim milk and a banana and it gives me over 30 grams of protein. Good pick finding one you like.
  7. Weight on Jan 1 was 233. Today my weight is 227.6. My goal is to be 215 by Valentines day.
  8. 227.6. I am down 5.4lbs this week and I owe it to Jazzercise!!!!

  10. My advice to you is to start moving if your not already. Exercise is te Key! I can diet all day long but if i don't exercise then the scale doesn't move. Try it and see. I can eat a not-so-strict diet and exercise and loose weight. I gained about 10lbs over Nov & Dec because we adopted our son and I didn't exercise and ate badly. Well Monday I started Jazzercise and walking every day and cut back and I have lost 6lbs just this week. Good Luck and keep your head up!
  11. I am back and on track. Walked 3.5 miles so far.
  12. Funny how things happen. We were both banded in the same month and I am stuck at 54lbs. I have not lost weight since the end of October and its so frustrating. I think Im gonna try jazzercise and cut way back on my carbs. I slipped alot in December with the sweets but I am determined to get back on track.
  13. Raising my hand!!! I was a 9lb baby and weighed 101lbs in the first grade, Since highschool I have lived in the 200's.My highest weight was 283. I am 22lbs from onederland since being banded.
  14. Very Realistic post. I am so glad I am working Thanksgiving night but if I were in the situation, I would eat sensibly but only a small amount of my favorite foods and scale back the rest of the week eating very healthy. I bet you won't gain. I have lost 54 lbs and have not deprived myself of any food. I certainly don't eat the quantity I use to and I never gain an obsurd amount of weight afterwards. Relax, have fun but don't go wild.
  15. Yes I am down 54 lbs and I went from a 9w to a 8.5 regular.
  16. Wow, every doctor is different, mine would not do a fill till 6 weeks. Drinking with meals is not helping the weightloss. Also if your not walking or doing some form of exercise, the weightloss will be slow. Stick to the rules, evaluate the types of foods you are eating and exercise. That will probably speed up the process. Good luck!
  17. I had a BMI of 52 and did not have to do a preop diet. I was clear liquids the day before but that was it. Definetly call your doctor and let him know. Also have you lost any weight preop dispite not adhering to the diet? My doctor warn me not to gain anymore weight before surgery because if I had a significant weight gain, then they would not do the surgery. Good Luck, I hope it works out. I do warn you that the lapband takes alot of work and you will not lose weight if you continue to eat bad things and not exercise. Its definetly a lifestyle change.
  18. 6 miles today. I should have counted all the running around I have been doing all week. Found out we bring Baby Ethan home next Friday. We have been working so hard getting everything ready for him!
