  1. Please click here to access your email notification settings. You'll most likely require a desktop or tablet since these settings aren't available in the app at the point.
  2. I'm so sorry but it does't look like today is going to be your lucky day I give you my word blogs will be back online at some point this week. Again, really sorry for the inconvenience and I appreciate everyones patience while we work on the upgrade.
  3. That's a great idea! My suggestion would be to start your own Low BMI Support Group. This will automatically create a forum as well as a place for all the low BMI members to connect and support each other.
  4. Gary, thanks for reporting this bug. We will have this fixed once the site upgrade is completed.
  5. This issue should be resolved once we upgrade our site. We hope to have it completed over the next few days.
  6. Can you deal with another week of downtime ? I promise to make it up to everyone...on multiple levels
  7. Pics and member albums aren't functioning 100% at the moment. You're better off waiting until we update the site. Should be this Sunday or Monday.
  8. It really depends on your state. You need to check your state health insurance marketplace to see if there are plans that cover weight loss surgery. Certain states offer them and certain states offer them at a premium. I attempted to check pricing in NY last week but had too many technical issues. I found some more info on this topic online: Summary of Coverage Twenty-two states chose benchmark plans that cover bariatric surgery: Arizona, California, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming Five states chose benchmark plans that cover weight loss programs: California, District of Columbia, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico Twenty-eight states chose benchmark plans that cover neither bariatric surgery nor weight loss programs: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin One state covers weight loss programs but not bariatric surgery: District of Columbia
  9. Premium (ad free + other benefits) membership is already in the works and will be offered about a month or two after the site is upgraded.
  10. No problem, we'll issue a full refund immediately All kidding aside, multiple people are working on the site upgrade 18 hours per day. A lot of work is going into this upgrade. Please have some patience. I believe the end results will be well worth the wait.
  11. Posting pics is disabled while we upgrade the site. We should be back to norm by next Monday.
  12. We have a photo Gallery which members use for this purpose. It's closed until the end of this week for upgrades and will be back online a week from today.
  13. I feel your pain, I really do! We were planning on having this entire upgrade completed ages ago. We should have most of the maintenance completed by this weekend. The plan is go live with the updated site this Sunday or Monday (fingers crossed!!) Thank you all for your extreme patience
  14. Upgrading a site like LapBandTalk isn't a very simple process. We hit a few bumps in the road and I apologize for the delay. We're going live this Sunday or Monday.
  15. I merged the two threads.
  16. Can you do me a favor please ? I'm trying to get down to the bottom of this issue. Can you type in just the beginning of his last name (monash) and see if that works for you ?
  17. Thanks to the member that brought this thread to my attention. In the future, please reach out to me via PM if you feel a topic or thread requires a response from my end. I'm glad the topic of privacy is being addressed out in the open..... Our Privacy Policy is clearly posted at the bottom of our terms of service: We will not release any member information unless under court order to do so. Your postings on this public forum will become public. Your text will be available to anyone with an internet connection. I believe our language is pretty clear and we're not trying to hide anything from anyone. We've been streaming all posts and blogs via Twitter for years. This was the method many members used in order to follow posts and threads. On October 4th of this year (prior to this post going up) we decided to approach social networks a lot differently than we have in the past. We shut off our Twitter feed and don't have any plans on streaming all posts and blogs through them or any other social network. As some of you are aware, we're planning a major overhaul to the web site over the next couple of days. Changes to our social network pages will follow thereafter. We plan on engaging members in appropriate conversation instead of just streaming our web site content.
  18. It's called Google. Anything you post online is readily available via Google. The chat logs won't be available once the upgrade is completed by the end of this week. Our privacy policy can be found at the bottom of our terms of service: PRIVACY POLICY: We will not release any member information unless under court order to do so. Your postings on this public forum will become public. Your text will be available to anyone with an internet connection. We reserve the right to modify and amend these terms at any time without notice. It is your responsibility to remain informed of current LapBandTalk policies. We do not monitor private messages. But we will investigate all allegations of PM abuse. We further, reserve our right to disable any account at any time for any reason and without notice. If there are any rules or policies you do not understand, please contact us. Finally; any abuse towards our staff and/or management in any form, may result in immediate suspension of your account.
  19. I've been running LapBandTalk for over a decade now and have never sold any personal info, nor do I ever plan on it. Your pictures and personal convo's will never be sold. Please keep in mind......Anything you post online anyone can see.
  20. I just tested PMs and was able to send and receive. Let me know if that's not the case for you please. We've been streaming all forum and blog posts to our twitter feed for years. We stopped on the 4th of this month and have no plans to continue streaming them again once the new site is launched.
  21. Huh ?! Pictures and PMs on Twitter ? Who's spreading these ridiculous rumors please ? We're upgrading our web site and shut everything (photo gallery, blogs etc) down until the new site is launched. We hope to have it live by the end of this week. We definitely will be making some changes but nothing like you've mentioned above.
  22. Everything besides forums is pretty much disabled until we launch the new version of our site. We hope to have it live by the end of this week.
  23. I'm not sure how you were attempting to connect with us previously but we respond to every single person that reaches out to us. Your email issue seems to be that on July 18, 2012 - 3:25 PM you (inadvertently) reported one of the emails we sent to you as spam. This automatically sets our system to stop sending you further email. I've removed your email from the spam list and you should be good to go now.
  24. Your email was bouncing back to us for over 24 hours on August 2, 2012 (with the following error: 550 5.1.1 - Invalid mailbox: ddmartin@twc.com) Our systems automatically flagged your account and stopped sending. I've re-enabled your account now and you should be good to go.
