Before And After Pictures
We received a few complaints about members having issues uploading before and after weight loss surgery pics to their profiles. We've redesigned and simplified the process. Click here to get started. Please let me know if you have issues, suggestions or any feedback whatsoever.

New Forum Is (Not) So Sad!
I totally understand the issues you're having with the current apps. Hopefully our new apps will resolve most of your current issues. In the interim, let's see if we can fix your current issues. What exactly happens when you attempt to start a new topic ? Do you receive an error ? Do you know if you're using our mobile skin or our full web site on your iPad ? We have a mobile version of our web site that's available on mobile devices. Please don't bother reporting problems within the current apps. We don't receive these reports. We will receive them once the new apps are released. My plan is to replicate the LBT experience on here. Give us a little time to make some tweaks and changes and things will start feeling more comfortable.

New Forum Is (Not) So Sad!
We made a mistake and didn't include the forums under General Weight Loss Surgery Forums in view New Content for members that have selected a specific surgery in their member profiles. We plan on correcting this issue within the next 1-3 days. I corrected this for your account. All members have the ability to control the forums that appear within New Content. To include/exclude specific forums from appearing: 1) Click on New Content 2) Click the last option in the sidebar called "Filter by Forum" 3) Select or deselect the forums you'd like to see in view new content

New Forum Is (Not) So Sad!
I didn't explain well. If I go back and try to edit a post with a quote in it, the quote may disappear or move in the comment board. On the site or app please ? I've personally never experienced this issue on the site. Has anyone else experienced this same issue ? We haven't offered spell check in years It's baked in to most modern day browsers.

Under "current" ?
Members using our mobile apps are shown all content from all forums, no matter the surgery they've selected in their member profile. We're working on changing this as well as releasing a new app asap. All 5 of your issues are confirmed and they'll be resolved with the next release of our app. Is there an approximate timetable on this? Will it also fix the PM problem that has persisted since the old site was still around? Version 1.0 of the BariatricPal app for Android devices will be released within a week or less. The PM issue that's been plaguing our apps is most definitely not an issue with our new apps. Any issues you do find with the app can and will be fixed extremely quickly. We plan a beta release of our iOS app around the same time we release the droid app and we'll be looking for members that are interested in beta testing the app. We haven't given up on our current apps and are still attempting to work on them to resolve the issues you and others reported. I will post an update to the forums as soon as I have any further info on anything.

You are correct. Members who are using our web site and have selected a surgery type in their profile, will only be shown New Content based on that procedure. You can manually override this setting by editing "filter by forum" settings in New Content. A huge amount of our membership has never ever even seen our web site! They're only using our apps. The members using the apps are seeing content from all surgeries. That can be pretty annoying when you're only interested in a specific procedure. We get it and we're working on adding a quick fix shortly. We're also planning on releasing entirely new versions of our iOS and Android apps which will address these issues long term. The before and after pic system is a total mess at the moment. You can only upload new pics and you can't use pics you've already uploaded or have in a current album on here. We should have this fixed over the next few days.

Thanks! It would help if we had a little more to go on. Any particular page (or pages)?

No, I wasn't aware! I'm not sure I follow...I'm quoting you now. If you quote me quoting you that disappears ?

New Forum Is (Not) So Sad!
I tested on that same exact setup...no issues thus far. Were you posting or browsing ? At what point did it crash please ?
-
New Forum Is (Not) So Sad!
I tested your exact version on BrowserStack without any issues so far. Do you know which OS you're running on your desktop ? Did it crash while you were doing something ? Any little detail you can provide would be very helpful.

New Forum Is (Not) So Sad!
We plan on adding certain features shortly which will segregate the members and their surgeries in a more orderly fashion. You'll be able to click a button in settings and you'll only see content from the surgery you selected in your profile. So Lap -band patients will never see any posts by gastric sleeve patients and vice versa. This will apply to the site and app. There were many many reasons why we merged the weigh loss surgery communities. One of them was that it was becoming a technical nightmare to make changes or upgrades to four separate communities and apps. Any time we made a change or upgrades it was X 4. Running our applications across multiple sites and databases were causing many issues. Merging the communities allows us to put our time, strength and energy in to one single offering. I know we're going through some growing pains at the moment but believe we'll be a lot stronger and better once the dust settles.

I've received many complaints or issues but this is a first for me. Do you know which browser, browser version and Operating system your using please ? We'll try to see if we can replicate your issue on our end and see if we can fix asap.

No, it's not by design! Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

New Forum Is (Not) So Sad!
We're going to turn things around.... Just need a little time, patience and support from our members. We've made many many many changes since we launched BariatricPal and we don't plan on stopping until everyone feels comfortable again. Please keep the feedback coming! Throwing out statements like "I hate the new site" aren't very helpful. We want to hear what exactly you don't like about the new site. The more details you can provide, the better! We can and will make changes based on member feedback. Also, it would be VERY helpful if we had some Veteran members responding to posts that are being left unanswered. It's a snowball effect....

Which version of the app are you using please ? iOS or Android ? I just tested New Threads in iOS and the first topic that showed up was a Lap-Band topic: I believe the problem is the Bandsters are seeing posts about other surgeries and it's really throwing them off. We plan on resolving that issue shortly.
