  1. They have 3 fixed prices, it wasn't cheap but worth EVERY PENNY I SPENT!! Call Kelley, she will give u free estimates and consult!! If they can help you I would do it! Have you had your surgery? How long after your approval was it scheduled?
  2. You demand something for pain!!!! Seriously!! There is no reason they shouldn't be giving you something--narcotics will not hurt you now!!!!
  3. Definitely get it checked!!! You could have developed a staph infection which can be extremely serious!!!!
  4. Dear Friend, Definitely praying for a speedy recovery and that the Master Physician will grant healing and a future of success on this weight loss journey. Please keep us informed. ????
  5. Once again, I would remind all to contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy if you need to appeal. Even my bariatric surgeon's office recommends them to patient's needing assistance. The website is wlsappeals.com. Their success rate in getting denials overturned is phenomenal and their rates are so reasonable with your initial call being FREE! Trust me folks--it's totally worth the time to speak to them! Walter Lindstrom is a bariatric patient himself and has been doing this since 1996. He KNOWS how to do this!!!!
  6. That's WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL news!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! You will rest well tonight!
  7. Remember you only get so many appeals! I would contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy before I do anything else! You don't want to miss out on an opportunity to do this right!
  8. Wonderful! Thanx so much for the info!
  9. DON'T DO ANYTHING until you contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy. They can help you, I know. My peer-to-peer for band to bypass procedure was denied last week so at the advice of many on this site, I contacted them and THEY are appealing my case. Google them for contact information. You won't be sorry. I have a great deal of confidence that my decision will be overturned!
  10. NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
  11. And what are some of these yummy meals? That's an awesome idea!!!! Are you banded, sleeved or bypassed -- just out of curiosity?
  12. I implore any of you entertaining the idea of self-pay because of insurance denials or demands to first contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy. You can find their contact information by googling them. Please! The initial call is free. These people are here to help us!!!
  13. I would contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy. You can google them for contact information! They're amazing!
  14. I want to go from band to sleeve. I was to,d I need to do the whole pre op work up again which I am finding really annoying. Apparently insurance will approve removal at this point but won't even consider revision until I do the whole thing, psych, support group, etc. I just hope I don't do it all and then they still decline revision since I'm below a bmi of 40. I am like 36 right now. It might be worth your while to contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy. Initial consult is free.
  15. You need to contact Lindstrom Obesity Advocacy. Google them for more info.
  16. PRICELESS!!!! I've gotten that "you're not that big" comment myself. Won't hesitate to use that comeback next time! PRICELESS!!!!
  17. Yes, I understand completely. However, encouragement is NOT enabling. We must be careful not to be so critical that it would cause someone to give up altogether. It's my understanding that these forums are meant to be supportive. Just sayin'!
  18. We have to be supportive and remember we are all human. We tend to slip up. Be encouraging--not critical.
  19. I'm truly happy for all successful banders, but even though some of us have issues not caused by slippage or erosion, does not mean we have "behavioral" issues with our bands. We are all different and there is NO "one size fits all" bariatric procedure!
