  1. Ya it’s def a dry food issue sometimes. But also, the amount of chewing we have to do grosses me out. I know that’s dumb, lol. But I just need a sip! Lol.

  7. Anyone else struggle with not being allowed to drink anything with meals? I’m only 2 weeks post op today but sometimes, I just need a sip of water during my meal. I find it very difficult. Anyway, just wondered.

  9. Hey! I was actually told we don’t need to crush pills. I’ve had no problems swallowing mine since surgery. I’m 2 weeks post op tomorrow.

  12. I also feel amazing. I’m a week and a half out. My surgery was 2/28.
  13. Hi everyone! I had gastric bypass on 2/28 after having my lap band out last June. Just wanted to see how everyone is feeling and what you’re eating! Let’s chat.
  14. And others have said this, but yes it depends on what kind of job you have. I’m a teacher so no heavy lifting, etc.
  15. Hey! I had surgery last Thursday (so it’ll be a week in a few hours, lol). I had gastric bypass and I’m going back tomorrow. I feel great. Of course, I pushed hard to walk every hour as soon as I woke up and have been up and about every day.
  16. Hey March 1-6 surgery friends! Mine was 2/28. I have my 1 week follow up tomorrow. How are you all feeling?!
  17. Anybody know if I can put a heating pad on my incisions? It’s day 4 post op. Thanks.

  20. I’m freshly home from the hospital after gastric bypass revision surgery (after a failed lap band). I feel pretty bad still though. Wondered if others had similar issues after: Diarrhea Nausea Impossible to sleep in a comfy position Groggy and in/out Trouble getting in the 4oz per hour Would love to hear your stories. Also, what did you take for nausea? I have the omeprazole for the acid and am taking Tylenol for pain. But the nausea is pretty bad, as in the diarrhea.
  21. Just got home from hospital. Do I swallow Tylenol or crush it? Also offered me Percocet I’d like to try and avoid. Thoughts?

  23. Thanks you guys. I’m sure it will all be fine, my brain just keep spiraling. How long were you guys off, if you were working at the time of surgery?

  25. Hi guys! Revision patient here. I was banded in 2011, then had my band removed last June and am now scheduled and approved for bypass on Thursday. Im so scared, I keep thinking maybe I should reschedule. Wondering if anyone else has/had these thoughts: -what if i die -can I commit to the lifetime of changes -what if I gain weight back -what if I lose all the weight and still am not happy -what if, what if, what if.... Also, this is silly but I can’t miss weeks of work. Anyone go back fairly soon after?
