  1. I was 41 when I had my surgery. I was up walking that night and even had a sip or two of Water. My doctor called at 10:30pm to see how i was doing after he found out, i had walked the halls 5 times. LOL. I didn't have any issues but HORRIBLE motion sickness when i got home. I tried to go back to work the next week but my co-worker who is a perfume bomb made me sick! I couldn't take it! I went home and returned the next Monday and was fine. My best friend however, had surgery and said that I pulled a fast one on her, she was in the hospital for 3.5 days. Everyone is different. These few moments of inconvenience are worth the end result. By the way, I didn't have a drain.

Doing good. Still in the 190's but life is GRAND! So far this year I have traveled to New Orleans and Phoenix. I enjoyed myself on both trips. I am a SLOW loser but that's okay with me. I noticed today that XL dress I got from the Limited back in March that I had to wear spanx with, I didn't need the spanx today. I actually look forward to walking and/or working out. I try to get in a least 5 miles of walking per day. Some days I fall short and some days I exceed that amount. I love God, life and my sleeve!
  3. Hey everyone, Yep, its hard to believe that its been 10 months. While I realize I am a slow loser—people SWEAR every time they see me I drop more weight. Which is totally untrue. I have been in the 190's for the longest at least 6 months but I am in a sizes L, XL, 12 and 14's. Go figure. It just depends on the maker. I am 25lbs from my surgeon's goal and 40 lbs from my goal. I bloat a lot during that time of the month—I gain usually about 5 lbs. At one point, I would drop anywhere from 10-14 pounds during my cycle but that stopped. I also used to get horrible motion sickness, I would wear the Patches like they give you from the hospital to compensate. That has stopped to—Thank God!!! I have a fitbit that helps me stay accountable to my daily steps. Generally, I get in about 5 miles per day. I went to New Orleans for 5 days in January. I went to Phoenix/Scottsdale for 5 days last month. Did some hiking and even dropped 3 lbs while I was there. I do plan to Celebrate my surgiversary in August just not sure where yet. J Crawfish season was a mental adjustment for me. In times past, I could eat 5-10 lbs at one sitting no problem. This year, I could only get down 1 ¼ pounds. I tried 2 lbs once and I literally was nauseated all the way home and barely made it to the bathroom before the extra ½ pound came up. Lesson learned! I don't do that ANYMORE! I am so loving life. Otherwise, I have a new outlook. I am off BP meds. I have the rod, out of my leg. Just waiting to firm up some more. I do not have a lot of sagging skin but my thighs could use some work. Going to start doing weights and maybe get the bun and thighs video by Jillian. I hope everyone is doing great. How do you plan to celebrate your surgiversary?
  4. May sounds good. If I am not working, I'll be there.
  5. Girl, you look great! Thanks for sharing...too funny.
  6. I started out somewhere between a 40g in sports bras and 40-42k in goddess everyday bras. Today I wear. 36j in everyday bras and 36g in wacoal underwire sports bras. My girls have been with me since I was 10--I missed the whole training bra stage. They aren't going anywhere. I just got fitted for the wacoal sports bra this weekend. I pay good money to lock and load these girls.
  7. You look great! Your smile is contagious.
  8. I can't remember how long the treatment was right now but it was about 6 weeks. I had my surgery on August 23rd. Don't worry, the meds come in a pack. Keep us updated.
  9. Hi everyone, I have been on BP meds every since I got married in 2003. Kind of funny and sad all at the same time. I had my surgery in August but yesterday when I visited my PCP she took me off everything. I do need to return in 3 months for a check up to see how I am doing but otherwise--I am doing great. My only issue is Iron and that's because of the excessive bleeding from the fibroid tumors. I was taking Toprol 100mg, Lisinipril (2x per day) 20 mg, Triamertene/HCTZ 75/50 (fluid pill) One of other note, I got the titanium rod taken out of my leg from an accident in 2003 (which they "never" take out) and I am doing fine. I go back to work Monday. :-)
  10. Hey, haven't logged in a while but I get the twitter feeds. I am down to 197.8. Finally, in onderland!
  11. Congrats!!!!!!! So happy for you!
  12. I have a couple of her dvd sets. I like them. I have even given a few away as gifts. It is really helpful when you can't get to the gym or outside. Its funny how time passes so quickly.
  13. I have Empire BCBS. My doctor's office required the weight loss. As a matter of fact, the office submitted the paperwork before my 3 months was concluded. The now (after I had my surgery--THANK GOD) is that you have to keep your goal weight by the the date of your surgery or the doctor will not operate. I actually gained 8 pounds by my surgery date....the liquid diet was driving me bonkers especially when I began to think that I would have certain foods for several weeks/months.....I just had to "get it out of my system". The good thing was that my liver was not heavy and my doctor had no issues during surgery.
  14. I am at a stall too. Fluctuations between 205-214 for the last few weeks. My 3 months is on the 23rd.
  15. Congratulations!!! Keep up the good work.
  16. I have a Polar I think it is an F7. My workout buddy bought all three of us one as a Christmas present last year--she got it off Amazon. I like using mine. When I got to work out at 24 hour fitness, the machines automatically pick up the signal.
  17. It depends. If I am with hubby. I usually get an appetizer or we order an entree and I eat what I can and he eats the rest. :-) If I am by myself. I either order an appetizer or order off the full menu and take the rest home for my lunch and dinner over the enxt few days or I give it to hubby. :-)
  18. Seminar - 04/27/11 Initial meeting with Dr. Snyder - 05/11/11 Surgery date - 08/23/11 My insurance required 3 month weight management but I was approved in July but still had to wait because of an ulcer they found during the EGD.
  19. I am so sorry you have to go through this but I am so happy for you too!!! Seems like some husbands have gotten bit by the stupid bug. My hubby told me last night--you need to workout because the skin on your back is soft and you need to work out to firm it up. DUH.....I have been sideline the last couple of weeks because of my right shoulder and right leg pain. I haven't been able to get to the gym on the days I can because he has had the car. But its all good. I have already had a "come to Jesus" meeting with him concerning our marriage and where it should go from here. He still wants to be a "momma's boy" and can't decide if his mom or I am his wife. 8 years of this and I am tired. We argue all the time and relations is none existent. It doesn't work well when its only beneficial to one party and it lasts less that 2 minutes. Enough about me......congratulations on getting to onderland and shopping for regular sizes and not those with a W behind the number!
  20. Hi everyone...sorry for posting so late. I am down to 205. I have been craving olives and gouda cheese like crazy. But since TOM has completed I don't want either as much as the week before and during cycle. I did loose 7 lbs--I think last week. Leg is really bothering me. I have one more month before my surgery. Hubby ticked me off said my skin is getting soft, I need to workout so it can be tighter. I almost slapped him. Its true I need to get in the gym with the weights but my right arm is killing me. I have to work it out some way. I'll go tomorrow since I will have access to the car. Have a greta week everyone.
  21. Wow!!!! Absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing! That gives me something to strive towards!
