  1. I am eating salads, eggs, yougrt, chicken, It all goes down fine. a couple of times I forgot to chew really well, then I realized I had no problem getting it down. hopefully it kicks in soon!
  2. I got my first fill on Wednesday. My band holds 10 ccs. I got 4 ccs, then the nurse made me drink water. It felt like pressure in my chest, so she took .5 ccs out, then the pressure in my chest went away when I drank the water. now I don't feel any restriction, I can eat a lot without feeling full. Why is this happening? Should I have not told the nurse I felt restriction with the 4ccs, then she wouldnt have taken any out, and maybe I would feel full and not hungry? I feel like I am having to diet like I used to before the surgery with no help from the band! I really frustrating!
  3. Thank You, I feel better now!
  4. I was banded on April 27th, and I have lost 20 lbs so far. I lost it all in 2 weeks which I loved watching the scale move everyday. I have not lost a pound in two weeks. How can I not be losing when I am eating so little. I am eating about 1000 to 1200 calories a day. I am starting to get discouraged. I get my first fill on June 8th. hopefully that will help. i have no restriction, and I am hungry all the time and can eat anything. So looking forward to losing again and not being hungry. I am also a little scared about getting a fill, but I know I need one!
  5. Thank you, you always have such great advice. I want you to be my mentor????
  6. I am 3 weeks out and starting to feel like I can eat more without feeling full. Everything goes down even if I dont chew well. Will things totally change once I get fills?
  7. I felt the same way. It's been 3 weeks for me. I have lost 20 lbs already. It's all worth it. The first few days are the worst. Your sore and the gas in your stomach sucks. Just remember everyday you will feel better. This site is so helpful. I get on it everyday for encourgment. Good luck!
  8. I am 3 weeks out and a little concerned. I get pain around the port area. When I move a certain way, It really hurts. I can also feel it from the outside when push on the area on my stomach. I just hope my port didnt flip flop, I have heard that can happen. Is this normal?
  9. I have a question i am still confused about. When we take a bite of food and chew it up really good, does it go through the band right away into the big part of your stomach? or does it stay in the small stomach for awhile and thats why you feel full because their's no room in the small pouch. If the chewed up food goes straight through the band how do we get full? And how can we stretch the pouch if the food dosent stay in the small pouch at all???? How does it all work?
  10. When were you banded? I wonder if you have the same surgen as me?
  11. I feel so bloated all the time. My stomach bubbles, I have gas, but constipated. What should I do?
  12. When i drink liquids, i have to wait 5 minutes between sips! I have to eat 1/2 hour after my last sip, and wait 1/2 hour to drink anything after i eat. Plus I have to wait 10 minutes between each bite of food. It is almost impossible to get all your liquids and meals in, in one day. Does anybody else have to do this, or my surgen crazy?
  13. I am so glad to hear this, because I was really having a hard time even waiting 5 minutes. Well I am going to ignore my Drs orders and do I have been doing and that is small bites, chewing really good, and taking it slow. Thanks
