  1. Congrats on your weight lost! You look great!
  2. Awesome! Thanks ladies. I am on soft foods now and was curious. My two books I have (one from Nut and one from Doc) do not say the same things. Plus my doctor has me on a different stage than the book would have me. I am so excited.
  3. Good morning to all! When did you introduce watermelon (if you eat it) into your plan? Thanks in advance!
  4. Way to go! Congrats on your weight loss.
  5. Thanks for your responses. I am currently on full liquids. Next Thursday will be pureeds/mushies and I am excited about that.
  6. I know all surgeons have different plans. I would like to know what are you allowed (were allowed for those past this stage) to have your 2nd week out.
  7. Hey! Those two months will fly by. As for telling people, Immediate family (mother, sister, brother nlaw, sister n law, mother n law) and close friends (which did include 3 co-workers). I did not announce to everyone for the simple fact people can be very negative and I wanted nothing but supportive people in my corner prior to and day of surgery. Granted some of my fam and friends were worried/scared, they asked questions and it seem to ease their nerves. Now the pscy eval for me was a breeze. He asked my a few questions about what type of surgery I was going for, did I have a support system, and other questions dealing with me eating and being overweight my entire life almost. Before I left he said he would clear me and I am a go. I wish you the best.
  8. Yay! on getting your approval!
  9. Good Morning to all! I was sleeved on Aug. 25th. Everything went well. They removed a hiatial hernia also. In recovery one of the nurses pissed me off, telling me I can groan or moan there were other people in there too. I hadnt been so out of it I might have done something to here. I h=kept telling her I felt sick and she took forever to do anything about it so i pucked. So he had to clean my puke up and chage my gown. I was a sleepyhead that whole day practiaclly. I walked later that evening. Friday and Saturday was better. Had the test to make sure there wasnt a leak or snything and all was fine. They took the drain out on Saturday. It felt like they were pulling my insides out. Now I have gauze on that site. Those of you that had drains removed in the hospital, once home when did you take the gauze/bandage off tthe site? I am having issues gettin gin my fluids but I am working on. I know how important it is to stay hydrated. I am so thankful everything went well. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. WOW ! I am finally sleeved.
  10. Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes for tomorrow's procedure. I really should be sleep right now but you all know that is kind of hard.
  11. Those days will fly by ( I know while you are actually doing it, it seems like forever). For your pre-op diet are you on all liquids, shakes, or small meals? I know for everyone it is different.
  12. I sure will. Hope to feel up to it by Saturday.
  13. Tomorrow morning I will be sleeved at 10. I am excited. The last two weeks went by faster than I thought they would. Today was the hardest for me. Everywhere we went all I saw was food. I wanted EVERYTHING !!! LOL! I asked my hubby "What if I can;t do this?" He replied "You will do fine honey and you probably will not want to eat after the procedure" . Love my supportive hubby! Just dropped my daughter off at my moms. Need to go home and start packing everything and double checking to make sure I have everything. Did you take your Vitamins with you to the hospital??? I will have mine just in case. Better safe than sorry. This time tomorrow I should sleeved. Take care everyone and see ya on the bench
  14. Hey Brian!! My surgery will be in Raleigh but @ Rex. As for follow up appointments the first one they scheduled for me is two weeks after my procedure. Of course if I have issues or anything I will go in sooner. I l know all surgeons are different. Best of luck to you.
  15. Thanks Ladies! I am so excited!
  16. Congrats on your date!!! I will still be on my diet when you start yours. My surgery is the 25th.
