  1. I have Aetna and i saw the Dr. and the Nut ( 4 times I think) and they did the whole thing for me and I was approved. Khy
  2. Yes I have noticed the change in body odor. NASTY! And your right, bathing several times a day just cuts it for a short while. Looking forward to the time when it settles down a bit. Khy
  3. Thanks, I will check with them on my next appointment. I am nervous about getting everything down when I go back to school. It is nothing to take away a teachers plan period or take their lunch time away or both. It happens all the time. Khy
  4. Has anyone tried the Protein Ice Power shot from ANSI (Advanced Nutrient Science) I was looking at the ad. It has 32g of protein in the form of Whey Isolate. It is only 4 oz. It has occurred to me that it might be good for travel or for when I return to teach. Sometimes I have lunch duty so I really don't have a lunch time. Khy

  6. I found that the first few days, jello slipped down easier than liquids. I have no idea why that should be but it did and still does. Khy
  7. I had the same problem. I wear a thing called a femring. It is an vaginal estrogen delivery system but the estrogen does not go systemic. You have to replace it every three months. I rarely get those nasty UTI' s now. Do a google search for it. It is a prescription. Having frequent UTI's after menopause in not rare. You may have to educate your doc about it. Having seen a variety of docs preparing for this surgery, many had not heard of it. It has been a life saver for me. Khy
  8. My doc lets me add a little bit of sugar free carmel topping or sugar free chocolate syrup.
  9. What 4 oz. limit? Are you not allowed to have more than 4oz of anything? Khy
  10. Oh but you do... u have a great big ad in the middle or your reply... Khy
  11. Definitely get a referral from the surgeons office. In fact my doc highly suggested that we use his nut because she was very knowledgeable and knew what things to discuss with you to satisfythe insurance company. Khy
  12. Very NICE! Pat your self on the sleeve and tell it what a nice job it has done. Khy
  13. I will be very careful not to click on any of the ads. I didn't mind the ones at the side. But the ones in my reply piss me off. Also I don't like that the fast reply button has been disabled. Several times I have written long replies only to have them lost or at least not in a form that I was able to post. Khy
  14. No I am not on blood pressure meds so I don't think that can be a problem. Anemic... maybe.. but don't think so. Khy
  15. Thanks
  16. Why do these annoying ads keep popping up when I post a topic? How do I make it stop?
  17. I guess I am 6 days post-op. My surgery was last Tuesday. I feel ok except for the weakness and I really feel dizzy! I am walking around the house like I have had about 6 drinks too many. I called the nutritionist yesterday as I felt like I was not able to get in enough calories. Yesterday was about 687 and the day before that 569 and lower from there back to surgery. I am doing the best I can but I just don't seem to have a place to fit more. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? Khy
  18. I bought creatine and added some to a drink tonight.... Errg... ok I can get it down but just barely. Khy
  19. Because some docs want to put you into ketosis. Too much sugar and that isn't going to happen. Khy
  20. Well I ordered alot of samples. Right now Chike tastes the best to me. Khy
  21. Just tell them what you did. It is a great tool. I am only 5 days out and am loving my sleeve already. Maybe it would be a good tool for them too. Khy
  22. You are an inspiration. Thanks for posting your progress. Khy
  23. It varies... I was sent home the day after surgery with pain pills, oxycodone-acetominaphen. I was told to resume my vitamin supplements many of which are pill form and my synthroid. The only one I have trouble with is the biotin. I guess I wasn't paying attenion when I bought it. It is in huge capsules. I think I have seen it in small pills. Khy
  24. The 3 things he said were creatine, whey protein (we all know about that) and glutamine. He talked mostly about creatine. He didn't say much about glutamine. Glutamine is an amino acid and therefore some should be in the whey protein in all those protein shakes I am trying to get down. Khy
