okay so I had noy even thought about the tube yet so thank you for posting this so that if I am awake enough to realize what is going on I wont be so surprised! So I just got back a responce to the email I sent my dr about getting the flu shot three days before my surgey and she siad not to get it because I might get sick. So if your guna get it make sure you have plenty of time before you surgery!

My doc had me start ten days before surgery and for those ten days I am only alound to have four low carb protien shakes and one bowl of lettuce with a few low carb veggies with lemon juice no corn Beans meat cheese or guacamole. I start this diet tomorrow and it kinda worries me but I am sure I will get through it. Only recently have I started getting abit nervious and started getting the what am I doing thoughts but I think that is totaly normal and then 30 seconds later I am super excited and cant wait to get it done, just a complete wirl wind of emotions!!! Well good luck on your revision just think you have that fact that this is not your first WLS and you know kinda what to expect.

I had one apt. He asked me question about my life, support, surgery etc... for about 10 min then I had to take a 600 true false question test, a 20 question test on drug and alcohol history and two other small tests simmilar to the others then I went home. But really dont worry about the phych eval unless you think this is going to be a cure all and you hear voices that tell you to murder then you should be fine.

I am almost in he same shoes you are I have one more day of normal food then I go to the 10 day liver reduction diet of 4 shakes and a bowl of lettuce with lemon juice on it which scares me more then the surgey it self but we can do it!!!!! We just have to remember why we are doing this. Oh and if it makes you feel better at least you get get away from the food you cant eat I am a chef so I am surounded with food for at least ten hours a day, I have allready warned my employees that I will prolly be grumpy for those ten days and I apologized in advance for my short temper

I actually just sent my dr almost the same question mine being since my work is giving free shots three days before my surgery should i have it doe or is it to close to surgery? When I get an answer(which should be tonight) I will post and let you know and maybe it will help

I think alot of people would love to hear that in order for you to stay healthy you need to eat Ice cream!!! I am sorry you were not feeling well but happy that you have an answer as to why. Well eat your ice cream and take it easy good luck fitting it in!

I so was just goimng to ask if you were taking a steroid and you answered my question. I absolutely agree that the steroid is the reason for the gain and the thyroid is the reason for the slow loss. Keep your chin up now that you are on the right meds the rest will come off. YOU WILL LOSE THAT DREADED @)!!!

Almost sounds like some sort of nerve damage, maybe something got hit or nicked and it is trying to heal or grow back. But I duno this is just a guess. You should ask about it the next time you go see your doc

I know this is kinda off topic because I am not a biker(yet, I plan on getting a bike when I leave Las Vegas the city of way to many drunk and distracted drivers) but I am also having surgery on Oct 21st Yea!!! so we will be sleave sisters. well good luck and let us know how everything goes oh and I can't imagin it would be more then a few weeks before you can ride again.

Sorry to hear about your accident, some people just need to open your eyes, but glad you all came out of it well sort of OK. I am sure you will be fine and you will see your son again. Keep us updated on how your doing. Good Luck and have a safe and unevetfull trip!

I agree with lilmissdiva try backing it up a steap your tummy might not be ready for the next stage. Everyones directions are different and everyones healing is different.

If you drink the vitamin water zero it is sweetend with stevia which is not a chemical but a plant basted sweetner like sugar is but has no calories. I am in the same boat I do not like ingesting artificial sweetners we are just not made to consume chemicals.

Congrats on getting past the first step making your first decission! 1. How long did it take those of you to get insurance approval? My insurance Cigna had me jusp through a five week hoop jumping conpetition but after that was all done and the papper work got to the right people it took about a week to get the call for the aproval. 2. From the point you got your approval how long did it take you to have for procedure? I could have scheduled for the next week but since my mother is flying out from across the country I scheduled it for a month out. 3. What kind of presurgery things did you have to do? For thr Dr. I had to do a upper GI (simple and painless, kinda cool to see) and some blood work, plus a h.Pilori test. For the Insurance I have to do two tobaco tests, phych test 5 EAP sessions and proof that I had not gain 20% of my weigh in the last year. 4. Is there some rough estimate on how much someone can expect to lose with the sleeve? I know its not an exact thing, but would love a gut feel, no pun intended, maybe some pun intended I have not had the surgey yet but I have heard and seen from members on here that you can loose all if not more then your excess weight! my Doc said that I have to crush anything I take for three months then I have to cut up in either half or 4 for the rst of my life because thay could cause obstruction

I have not had it done yet but will be going in on the 21st I know it is not real close to your date but if you would like you can e-mail or pm me and I can give you my number.
