  5. Hi Eva! Welcome to VST! You will love it here. There are so many people offering fantastic advice and motivating stories! It sounds like you are off to a good start- 19 lbs in 16 days is great! Good luck as you continue on this journey- and getting closer and closer to that "skinny kid" again
  6. SunnyD LMAO!!! This exact thing (except not at a hospital) happened with me and my Mom too... a couple times. I think she's finally getting used to the new me, but wow that was kinda strange but awesome at the same time. Hugs!!!! You're doing it lady!!! I actually remember reading your post and thinking that is amazing and so funny! I thought that would never happen to me with my mom and then BAM it did! Even after she had been with me earlier- although I was in the hospital bed wearing that lovely hospital gown at the time. Yes you're right it is strange but awesome!
  7. So today I went to the hospital for outpatient surgery. I had to have a filter removed in my vein that was placed when I had my sleeve done. My mom came along to be my driver home. When I was done she went to get the car to pick me up at the front entrance and when she pulled up she was surprised they didn't have me down there yet. But guess what I was standing right there! She said she wasn't used to seeing a smaller me. Really? My own mom? I thought it was funny though!
  8. Girl~ You are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! You have done such a fabulous job on not only losing weight but being active and a huge motivator to so many of us on this board. I have truly enjoyed reading all your stories and advice. I always look forward to reading your posts and blogs. I know that you will continue to be an inspiration to us and I'm sure you will lose more weight. But at least it will be an added bonus and not something you are killing yourself to reach. I love your frame of mind. You are going to enjoy life and not focus on the few pounds you may have left to lose. Good for you!!
  9. Thanks! You are doing great too! That's wonderful that you will make your goal- even a couple weeks early! I would love to be below 200 by the start of the new year- I just don't know if that is pushing it too much or not. But I'm gonna try! I do have smaller goals set for almost every month between now and then. I've planned trips to Chicago and Vegas- and also a cruise next March. So the thought of those trips are keeping me motivated- I want to enjoy them as much as possible and know feeling good about myself will definitely help especially getting in a swimsuit! Good luck to you as you continue on! Looking forward to hearing of all your successes!
  10. Congrats to you!!! I bet that feels great!

  13. So I can finally say BYE~BYE to the 300's! Woo Hoo! The scale said 298 today! Now of course I wish I was saying bye to the 200's but hey gotta start somewhere. And my highest was 417 last November (354 at surgery in March) so gotta Celebrate that- right? I'm so happy with my choice to have the sleeve! I'm feeling so much better already and have a lot of energy! I love getting on here pretty much daily and reading all the fabulous success stories- that keeps me motivated. I think I'm checking this more than my Facebook now! LOL!
  14. You are doing WONDERFUL! Congrats to you! I'm with ya- I can be down and feeling bad but when I read all the success stories on here it cheers me up and keeps me going! Good luck to you!
  15. Thats's great news for you! Woo Hoo! Good luck to you as you get your date and surgery!
  16. Welcome to VSG! You are in the right place- a non-judgemental place that is! I understand about being hesitant to talk about your highest weight. My highest was last November at 417. WOW! I was down to 354 at surgery and now am at 300. Can't wait to see a 2 as the first number soon. You have done FABULOUS already on your own. CONGRATS to you! Too bad those months don't count towards the supervised diet. But it will help you get to a lower weight at surgery, which means a safer surgery. Good luck to you as you continue on! You are at a great place for advice and support! I look forward to your updates!
  17. CONGRATS to you! July 29th will be here before you know it! Good Luck!
