  1. Everything that Jacqui said. If you really value your marriage and love your husband you would be willing to give up all contact with the other man. If you are not willing to do so then you need to reevaluate whether or not you truely want to be in the marriage you are in.
  2. Where did you find those pics of me riding my old bike?
  3. Stef this is the link bc2 - Cereal City Century The milage for the PALM is between 40-60 per day with optional longer routes.

  6. DH would not go. Not his idea of fun. Of course I wanted to get a tag a long and a trailer and he and I take the kids but oh well lol. Speaking of fun J, We are officially registered for the Muddy Buddy as the Bycyling Babes!!!!! We will accept all costume ideas from anyone who can think of anything fabulous;
  7. Yeah I am in for all the September rides. HHH, Cereal City and all that shit. Cereal City may be the only problem since I have a wedding to go to the next weekend so bachelorette party might conflict with that. I just filled out my paperwork for the PALM (pedal across lower michigan). It is a 6 day trip across the state in June. I am way excited.
  8. I might be crazy enough to try both.
  9. J do you have the kid on Sept 6th? That is the ODRAM. (ONe day ride across michigan)
  10. B I heart you. I now want to be known only as Hottie Mchottie and not BG any longer.
  11. My kids love it. How is the child care at your Y?
  12. Thanks Daddy!!!! You will get there. You are doing such an amazing job in the short time you have been banded. Especially since it is winter time. Come summertime I think the pounds are going to be melting off of us Great Lakes Staters.

  14. I am way too tired for a big fashion show but here is a pic from today. The quality is kinda crappy but it will do. I have the before on the before and after thread.
  15. Okay the first one is me now one year out down 90 pounds, and the second is day of surgery. It's not the best picture but it will certainly do!

  17. OMG yes Andrea. When I was at the bar a few weeks ago it was a whole new experience for me. I had guys to dance with and a drink in my hand at all times. It was so weird. I have never dealt with that before. It was pretty awesome.
  18. The BG fashion show will happen tomorrow. We had a sub for our spin class and she was friggin awesome. My ass is too tired to pose tonight. I promise tomorrow though. Anyhow I did take measurements. In the last year I have lost: Chest: 12" Waist: 10" Hips: 14" Thieghs: 5" each side Upper Arms: 3" each side 52 total inches. Unless I can't count lol
  19. I bought some new size 13 jeans from Aeropostale today. That was fun times. The girl picked me out about 10 pairs to try on. I did a fashion show with the kid and picked out a pair. I will have to post pics later.
  20. Thanks Tracy and Daddy. The Juli and BG show. Loves it!!!!!
  21. Leave it to Coldstone Creamery to do that for ya. It was very good but so not worth it to have a big piece. I think Dan's piece was about 3 servings. It was just gross.
  22. I friggin heart the whole lot of you. You guys inspire me and push me to do the things that I have done. You all really mean a whole lot to me. Okay now back to our regular witty not so mushy programming....I can not believe I bought my husband a 6600 calorie, 384 grams of fat birthday cake.
  23. Is it BCSB of Michigan? If so you need 6 months diet documentation. This could be as little as 3 times in the six months that your docotor doculented talking about diet and excersie with you. You need to go to some seminars at your local hospital(s) of choice to find out what they require of you. BCBS of Michigan is one of the better insurances to have for bariatric jsut so long as you don't have an exclusion of surgery inyour specific policy. Good luck!
  24. I posted this over in the feb 07 Banster area but I wanted to cross post it here since it is MY day and all lol. I started my journey at 278 pounds which was my highest weight ever. I am not really sure exactly how I got there but it is what it is. I never really thought I was that big, I was just kind of in a huge denial of my actual self. I originally went to a seminar in July of 2006 to learn about the bypass. The nurse coordinator and my mother had worked together way back when so she has know me forever. I was convinced to come to the meeting when I saw how great she had looked and that she had a bypass in 1997. At that meeting I learned about the Lapband which I had never even heard of before. I got my info and thought about it but decided to try dieting one last time. I lost 30 pounds that I promtly regained. In Decmeber of 06 I gathered my doctors documentation and had my consult. I could have had my surgery in January but opted to wait until Feb. I had my UGI and psych eval done and I was ready to go. Day of surgery. I was scared out of my mind. I had never had surgery before and I could not get myself to calm down. I kissed my kids and held them tight. Once I went through preop and was lying on the bed I finally got some meds to calm down. I remember being pushed to the OR room and it felt like I was flying there. They transferred me to the bed and the next thing I remember was being pushed to my room leaving the postop area. I have been told that when I woke up in the OR I felt up and down my body and exclained "Holy shit, I am fucking alive" This whole past year has been the hardest journey of my life but the best thing I have ever done for myself. I have struggled with head hunger, emotional eating, plateaus, and frustrations, but it has taught me that I can survive. I have gained a new confidence about myself. I know I am worth more than I ever thought was possible. I know I can be a good wife and mother. I know that even if bad things happen, I can and will overcome them. With the loss of these 90 pounds I have gained a whole new sense of self. I always said that weight loss would never change me but it has. It has opened up a whole new world that I never really knew existed. It has challenged my thoughts of how my life was and showed me just what it could be. Instead of the facade I put on daily I have now gained the confidence to finally truely be myself. I can't wait to find what my second year of banding has in store for me.
