  1. Congrats to Laura!!!!!
  2. OhJuli is doing well. I talk to her pretty much daily. She's trying to ween herself off the meds and is probably looking mighty thin. I will hopefully see her Friday. And probably be insanley jealous. Oh and it is not her fault that she was born on tax day. =)
  3. I wanna be a snob like you. I have gotten over my a$$ raping from Uncle Sam. I made hubs take me to dinner last night and I pigged out. And of course we all *know* that food solves anything.
  4. Awesome job Beth!!! WTF can't Uncle Sam just get it right when he takes money from my paycheck. Because, seriously, looking at this mess makes me want to cry. I am not even finished yet and already poorer than I was this afternoon. F*&^*&ck the state of Michigan. I swear I had better not leave the house tonight because if I see one person with 13 kids in tow paying for groceries with a bridge card and wearing designer clothes I am going to flip out. But then at least my tax dollars would be going to pay for my own care at the county jail. Oh and happy birthday OHJuli!!!!!
  5. Oh I am not against it lol. Hopefully my boss doesn't care either. But i haven't seen her in a few days since she comes and goes as she pleases. But that is a whole other story, ugh.
  6. Is it completely wrong that I have my 8 year old here at work with me doing my filing? I mean she really likes it and I hate it so it is a win-win situation, right?
  7. Look on www.pauladeen.com for ooey gooey cakes. There are several versions. I made the plain old butter cake. I do want to try the double chocolate one at some point. Maybe next time there is a potluck at work. I try to save my best recipes for those. As for the homemade cake mix, I'll bet as long as you can make the powder for it that you could use that instead of boxed. But really, using the box of cake mix is so easy. Ebony is your pound cake a super secret or do you wanna share that recipe?
  8. For the record, I totally think it would be possible to drink it through a straw. But completely against everything we are doing here. I am taking it to work tomorrow to fatten up my co-workers. Plus it is probably the first thing I have found that is so rich I can't eat more than a few bites.
  9. I just want to state, for the record, I think I would get a complete unfill if I had the opportunity to go to Paula Deen's restaurant. Just so I could get the unlimited southern buffet. Hell I might even eat some collard greens. Oh and I just made some ooey gooey butter cake for those of you not reading my insane number of updates on my culinary skills. Effing amazing. I might need new pants.
  10. There is no law saying you can't do them both....
  11. Well you said it was a sprint tri right? Take a mountain bike out on a course for, let's say, 20ish miles. Or even just the 12. Examine how you feel afterward and make your decision based on that. The swim and run portions are obvious not the deciding factor. Really I am sure you could do it if you tried it. You have enough fitness for it ya know?
  12. Mountain biking is easy peasy if you train for it.
  13. Apparently they did while I was, but my mother never took me lol.
  14. They do this yearly on Good Friday. Each kid only gets 1 prize regardless of how many marshmallows you get. You only need 1 to get a prize. They do have maybe 10 marshmallows that have wrting on them at get you a bigger prize (usually one of those big easter baskets). Otherwise it is just a goodie bag with candy, crayons, and a coloring book. There is no tarp or anything down and the kids are told not to eat the marshmallows. The little ones have a parent with them to go find the marshmallows. They also do 3 drops, one for ages 4 and under, 5-7 years, and 8 and up. But yeah, just something fun for the kids to do while they are off school for the day. Here is the info Tap http://www.waynecounty.com/mygovt/dps/depts/parks//docs/MARSHMALLOW_DROP_2009.pdf
  15. They drop them in a clearing in one of the big county parks around here. The kids get to run out and collect them and then turn them in for prizes. From the huge crowds that are usually there I doubt that many marshmallows are left over. The kids just think it is cool to see them all falling from the sky, and they like getting prizes.
  16. All I can say is that I am happy it is above freezing for the marshmallow thing this year. Last year it was in March and it was absolutely frigid. It is going to be 45 today woohoo! Really though the weather changes are what is killing me. We had like 5 inches of snow on Monday and yesterday it was almost 60. Pick a season already Mother Nature...geez.
  17. Ohh Tap I am so jealous of your nonworking day. But at least I only have a half day today. I have to go pick up the kiddies and take them to the big marshmallow drop today. Nothing quite like watching a blizzard of 20,000 marshamallows being dropped from a helicoptor.
  18. I effing heart tequila. But not slime.
  19. Good morning all. I slept like a rock last night. Can't imagine why....
  20. Oh benedryl...how do I heart thee. Let me count the ways. You make me feel oh slow light headed and floaty. Floaty enough that posting on LBT is probably not the smartest thing. Because typing is not so easy when you're cheesy. Yep. Time for sleeping now.
  21. I say kick them in the shin. But then again I am not the most mature one here lol. SO I was procrastinating here because i don't feel like working out. Then I happened to look down at my hand and see my veins popping out of them slightly. I don't know if I am weird or what but seeing my veins on the back of my hands is such a huge motivator to me because my hands were so fat before that I could never see them. So anytime I notice them it makes me feel good. Like I would love to have giant gross veins popping out of my hand or something. Am I just weird?
  22. I think I just got lucky when it came to teeth. I went in last year for a cleaning after not being there for nearly 10 years. I had one very small cavity. I always brush in the morning but not so much at night unless I eat something funky. As for flossing, I do that more often than I used to. I do not like the feeling of food in my teeth and often I will floss at night but not brush. But I have had only 3 cavaties my whole life and my teeth and gums were given the dentist stamp of approval.
  23. Funny that is exactly how I feel about mine.
  24. Hey all, just wanted to let you know that I just heard from Juli's SO and she is out of surgery. The doctor said everything went as planned and she is tiny =) Hopefully she does not mind me posting here, but I figured she would want her people to know.
  25. Winter Storm Warning! Oh and go MSU!
