  1. Maybe if we all ignore her she will go away. It's not like I ever see any lap band related postings anyhow. All preaching.
  2. Awesome sauce Mac.
  3. Really? I know a lesbian couple (actually ex couple) that have a child. And even share custody of her as a divorced heterosexual couple would. In fact, they are better about their child's needs and the custody arrangement they have in place than many divorced heterosexual couples are. And unfortunately that friend of mine, not being the biological parent, would not get the same rights as a divorced father not being the biological parent of a child that was adopted during the marriage. Do you think the just because someone can't physically have a child that they are any less of a parent if they adopt? Do you think adoptive parents don't see themselves as parents? That they are any less important to a child just because that child didn't spend it's first 9 months in their body? Are you just that bigoted or just that stupid?

All this talk of swine makes me crave bacon.
  5. And that is perfectly fine. And completely your right. Perez Hilton is just blowing this whole thing out of proportion. everything is all fine and dandy with him as long as it aligns with his opinion of life. But when someone goes against how he feels, watch out. Then there is a personal vendetta. He is the worlds biggest hypocrite, as evidenced on how he makes fun of Jessica Simpson for her weight gain, yet praises Beth Ditto (or whatever her name is) from The Gossip on being so hot.
  6. Mac I used to do 12 miles to work when I had a later shift. It was very rewarding. Unfortunately now with my 5am start time, it is just too darn early for me to be out on the bike. I do have a headlight, taillight, and reflective gear but I just feel too unsafe heading out at 4 am. I have done it, but I am queesy the whole time. I did get out and do 12 miles yesterday with hubby. I am glad the weather is finally breaking. We have had the furnace off for over a week now. It is going to be a little bit chilly the next few nights (40's) but hopefully once the rain clears up we will have some sun again. There is a ride this Sunday that I want to do, weather pending and if I can find someone to take my kids to their religious classes at church.
  7. Michelle, I love seeing really fluffy dogs before and after they are shaved down. They look like tiny little versions of themselves. And a very cute pup you have there.
  8. Fanny, one thing you can't do is beat yourself up about it. Try to look at it as this: Even normal people have bad days. Not that we are abnormal, but it is something we all struggle with. I know once I get started with something sugary, I can't stop. I seriously think I understand what it is like to be an alcoholic because when I have to have my fix, I have to have my fix. And sometimes it takes everything in my to not eat that candy bar. I can't even take a bite of something sweet without eating the whole thing. It is an all or nothing thing for me and it flat out sucks. The point is don't beat yourself up. You have had a great weekend. Focus on that =)
  9. This is a No Swining Zone.
  10. Personally I applaud her for sticking to her convictions. Good for her for not selling out just to try and win a beauty pageant (it's not a beauty pageant-it's a scholorship program, sorry I love that movie). However, I couldn't agree with her less. I rest pretty far over on the conservative Christian republican side and I still can't understand why people have such a big issue with the whole one man one woman thing. What is so awful about what someone else does with their lives? Does a gay marriage make my marriage any less important? I don't think other peoples marriages have any affect on mine. Straight, gay, black, white, whatever. It doesn't affect me, but it does affect those two gay people involved in the relationship. Why should they be denied the same benefits that come along with being married that the rest of us get. If my husband were sick and dying in the hospital I would be able to be there by his side. Yet if the same happened to one of my gay friends, who has been in a relationship nearly longer than I have been in existance, they may not be given the same opportunity? It is bullshit. My marriage is defined by how my husband and I live our lives together. Not by a 20 year old marrying a 89 year old man for money, or a man marrying a woman for "control", or two lesbian who love each other very much and want to make their lives into one. My life is my life and no one defines it for me.
  11. Mine is still effed up.
  12. Well I hope it just just some sort of glitch because it is awful on the eyes.

  16. I think she means if they deducted $1000 from your pay for the year but you get a $500 refund check. That $500 you have already paid but are being returned for overpayment.
  17. They may not all get welfare but they might get a refund check.
  18. Yeah but don't get the Margarita ones. The little bit of salt is not worth the nasty flavor. But Clif Blocks are top notch.
  19. It is 3:30am and I am baking Cookies. Fresh baked cookies will help a sad kid, right? *Sigh* I am just so darn tired.
