  1. these are awesome! It helps the newbies so much.
  2. Hi Lara- I just got back from Dr. Aceves. Please check out my videos on you tube and/or my blog in my signature. They are almost a bit too detailed! LOL! Dr. Aceves is one of the most kind hearted physicians I have ever met. It was an awesome experience. Good luck.
  3. thanks MovingForward. I think it's starting to grow on me a little. I'm feeling just a little SASSY!
  4. I used to work out at Gold's and don't take this the wrong way, but it may have been a pitch for a personal trainer. They did something similar to that to my daughter and he worked with her for a couple of days, then made the pitch of how much it was going to cost to continue...he was very genuine
  5. I think that would be more helpful. I started jotting down some notes for my next one. Watch out! Ya'll have created a monster!
  6. I didn't get my "tramp stamp" until I was 38. I kinda liked the sound of it! LOL! I thought it was cool! I'm such a dork!
  7. I have a small closet size pantry and the HUGE Protein jugs were overpowering it. I found the coolest little canisters to put my powders in and a door organizer from WalMart. It helped a ton. I will have to show it off this weekend. I kinda like doing the videos. I need to spruce them up a bit, but I'm still learning.
  8. I'm 7 days out today as well. I have tried a very small amount of broccoli soup. There were no broccoli chunks in it though. Then I made my husband a homemade pizza for dinner. It just hit me last night when I was cooking for him how much I used to pick while I was cooking. It's amazing. I kept having to remind myself not to do it. I just tell myself this is temporary and will soon pass. Hang in there.
  9. Let me add, I just would not limit my options to those that are closest to you. You don't have to cross the border to find an experienced surgeon. But I would certainly expand your searching areas. Even a 3-4 hour road trip would be worth the piece of mind.
  10. Personally, and there is no eloquent way for me to say this, I would RUN! Straight for the border! The surgeon I was most interested in in my area had only done 300. That's why I opted for Dr. Aceves in Mexicali. Experience. I'm weird like that.
  11. thanks Deets! That's encouraging! As a viewer, what kinds of things would you be listening for?
  12. Thanks! It's actually easier than blogging to me but, for now, I'm doing both. I think I need to outline a few things in advance so I cover certain things. It's not much help for anyone for me to go on and say, well, it was a good week, ya know? Right after I did this one, I thought of several other things I wanted to say but I don't know how to add to it. I guess I'll just add to my blog.
  13. good or bad...I've never done this before so check out youtube if you get a chance!
  14. easy reading....thx for sharing
  15. Good luck Johnny. I just got back from Mexicali last night. I'm feeling pretty good today.
  16. Funny. When they pulled our drains and IVs we headed straight to the mall.
