Thank you all for your well wishes. I am doing better the last few days. It has been a real roller coaster. First they said nothing by mouth, then they wanted me to have some meds by mouth. I was so nauseated all the time I am now back on nothing by mouth. Feeling much better not being nauseated. I actually have woken up the last two days hungry! I hope that is a good sign! I will be going to the Dr. once a week now. I'm very anxious to go on Tues. Today is one week post op of the leak repair. I hope he gives me good news like I can have liquids and get rid of the feeding tube & drain!!!! Please continue to pray for me! Thank you all sooo much for your encouraging words!!!

I haven't been here in a while. I was three weeks out one day before I could start mushies, and I started getting sick. I couldn't even drink water. Turns out I have a leak. I spent one week in the hospital with nothing by mouth. I now have a feeding tube with nothing by mouth. I am at home now which is a big plus. I went in 2 days ago for another EGD, and a leak repair. They feel that everything went well, but said now we just have to wait and see how it heals. My throat is killing me now. They scratched it up during the EGD. I'm feeling really down, and scared. Please let me know if you have experienced any of these things, and how they turned out.

I have been having pain in my stomach right between my breast, but lower since Monday. I talked to the Dr. office, and they said it sounded like gas. I took GasX and it did seem to help. Over the week it has gotten much worse and now anytime I take a sip of even water it hurts. I called Dr. and they think it may be a stricture! Has anyone else had this???? I go in Monday for an upper GI and then they will know for sure. I'm 3 weeks today and haven't even started mushies yet! I'm really scared!!! :drool:

I'm praying for you!! I'm not there yet, and still feel yuk!

I am 20 days and I feel the same way!!!! No energy!!! It very frustrating!!!

SOOO happy for you!!! I am 15 days and this week was sooooo much better! I was starting to get worried about myself!!! I still have one more week of liquid :biggrin0: My Dr. makes us do 3 weeks post op, but I am soo looking forward to mushies!!!! It is such a great feeling to wake up and feel that dark cloud gone!!! Congrats & I'm right there with ya!!! ))

Hi! I could have anything liquid with no lumps or bumps. (except milk shakes! LOL) Broth, cream soups drained, needed 60grm. protein shakes, water, any diet drink except soda. Good luck!

Thanks Girl! When will the head hunger end? That part seems to get worse each day!

Had my one week post op visit today. Got my staples out, and all is well. The BEST part is, I lost 17 pounds!!!! 10 pounds week before and 7 this week!! That did help my mood!!!! I'm feeling better today. Yesterday was sooo hard with the head hunger and SICK of protein shakes. Two more weeks to go, then I get some REAL soft food! YEA!!!!
