  1. they were trying to see the psychological difference... I was in a mri machine for 5 hrs a day for 2 days... and I do understand what your saying about the band I went through the same thing but I was in my green zone before the study
  2. I was not having issues with the band before! it was something the surgeon had asked me to do because of how successful I was with the band...they are trying to figure out why successful people with the band are successful so that they can have a better understanding of how to help those who aren't so successful and yes my last fill was covered by them! thanks!
  3. the study is over that's the only reason I messed with the band I never thought I would have to deal with this after... and I will never do it again!
  4. ok so long story ill try to make it as short as possible.... so last month here in ct I was chosen to do a research study they pretend to take your fill out one day and the next they do take your fill out or vice versa and they don't tell you which day they are doing what and then they monitor your brain activity.. I could completely tell the difference because you eat lunch when you are there anyways I got my fill taken out the second day and they went to put the fluid back in and I couldn't even get water down so the dr took out 1.5 cc and I felt like my band was completely empty even though it wasnt with just that taken out... 1 week after which was a little over 3 weeks ago I had 1cc put back in and ive really been struggling since... ive had days when I feel like I can eat anything and everything that I want (not that I am but im just describing how I feel) and then 2 days later I cant even get my morning coffee down... im not loosing any weight and those days that I cant get anything down feel like ive gone a lifetime without food... anyone have any opinions on what to do? should I get some fluid removed(I really don't want to because im not loosing now and im afraid ill gain but if I have to then I have to!) does it sound like my band has slipped? should I be worried? any opinions or help on what to do I would appreciate! Thanks in advance!
  5. thanks missy you always seem 2 be the one 2 answer

  17. i wore sweats all the time at that size and most were all beat up so ive gotten rid of them but i do have size 18-20 in summer stuff when summer rolls around and if your that size shoot me a email! you pay for shipping you can have it!!

  19. 180 gained 2...been a rough week! been sick and stressed and havent worked out because i was sick and didnt really keep track of calories the way i should have. hopefully next week will be better!
  20. i had the same issue when i first had the band put in as well... i also had a friend with one put in a month after mine... she reached the green zone before me but her band was also smaller... she has also reached her goal and im still 24 away from mine but she also had a lower bmi then i did... but ultimatly i follow the rules just like she does! everyone is different and you guys have lost more weight then i did in the first month in a half! Also this is just a ? but without the band have you ever lost that much weight in a month in a half??? the lap band is to help lose weight at a slow and steady pace it is not gastric bypass which will allow you to lose weight alot faster! you guys are doing great and like i said your doing alot better then i did in the begining! give it time! your already sticking to the rules you will surely see results!!!
  21. i wasnt sure if id find anyone else on here with a child with autism obviously there are so many people on here from all walks of life nice to know there is at least one other person on here to relate! how old is your son? mines is 7 and the last few years esp in school have been rough! he has a really great school and support system but its just trying to figure the days out with him some are alot rougher then others and lately there have been alot of rough ones! im not sure where on the spectrum your son is or what things are triggers or anything.. maybe that would be a private convo but if you have advice on anything im open to suggestions!
