  1. Vitamin E oil is great for scar healing. If you get the scar while it is still pink. I had a big scar on my face when I was a kid and my mom put vitamin e on it twice a day. You can hardly see it now! You can find it near the vitamins. Good luck! Kelly
  2. Is this the first time you are tying dairy??? Some become intolerant to lactose. Maybe this is your problem?? Sleever's aren't supposed to dump, so I don't think this is the problem. Just my guess. Feel better! Kelly
  3. Crystal Light is too sweet for me! I like Vitamin Water Zero and Decafanted Ice Tea. Kelly
  4. Amen BlackBerry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kelly
  5. UGGG!! I am so very afraid of this!! I have had hunger issues FOREVER!! Not head hunger, but real physical hunger. This was my BIGGEST complaint when considering surgery. I want this to stop!!! This is the reason I got up to 280lbs. I am always hungry and so I eat to stop it. I can eat and then shortly after, feel that hunger again. I have been on Nexium for years, so hardly think it is acid!! I am so afraid that I will still feel starving all of the time after surgery! Many say theirs goes away, but I fear I will be one of the few that their's stays. I pray and pray that mine will diminish. I will be sleeved Monday! YAY..i guess we shall see. Kelly
  6. SEE!! That is the VERY reason that I have chosen not to tell anyone (except husband) about the surgery! People that do not research about it are SO IGNORANT about the surgery and really PISS ME THE $(&$ off! I would like to punch people in the face too!! LOL Kelly
  7. OM gosh!! Couldn't they have told you this in the first place?? I mean, wouldn't they have known when they were first finding out all of your insurance info?? How horrible!! I am so sorry for you. At least you can have A surgery to help you with your health. I wish you the best!! Kelly
  8. Congrats to you!! And a BIG AMEN to LOOOU!! Kelly
  9. So, I just got my phone call telling me my surgery time for Monday!! I have to be at the hospital at 11:30!! I was hoping to have an earlier time, but I guess I should be thankful I don't have to wait til 4:00. LOL I don't know if I am weird or something is wrong with me, but I really do not feel anxious or nervous at all. It just kinda doesn't seem real to me. Kinda like I am in denial? I don't know, maybe by Sunday I will feel something, but for now, it is just another Friday night! Pray for me that I will come out o.k. without complications. I wish all of you the best!! Kelly
  10. Thank you for sharing your story!! It is always nice to hear the "BAD" stuff too. So many stories out there are so great and we forget that there are people that struggle as well. Good luck to you!! Kelly
  11. I am glad you are stil part of the Red Velvet Gang! LOL Kelly
  12. I can not eat solid regualr food until after week 12, but everyone is different. Best of luck to you! Kelly

  17. Two more days ya'll!! WOOT WOOT!! So, I was thinking that when we get home, we should post a topic in the post-op section called "RED VELVET GANG" That way we will all know it is for us. Maybe the first one to post could say (for other's reading), the ones sleeved May 9th. That way, we could all go there and post how our surgery went and how we are doing and such. Sound good? Best of luck to all of you and I will say a little prayer for all of us! Kelly
  18. my dr. told me to weigh everyday! however, i will not! i think it is over excessive. he says it keeps you in check. Kelly
  19. Mine is Monday. I hope that i am as calm as you sound! So far, I feel ok about it. Haven't really been nervous. I hope I stay that way. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted. Kelly
  20. That is EXACTLY why the only person that knows is my husband!! People are so IGNORANT about this surgery and want to act like they are the surgeon!! It pisses me off to no end and I will not be down played on my decision!! I am doing it for me and nobody else. I don't need to be talked out of it, my mind is made! I might decide later to tell people, but for now, I am not! Glad to hear your incision is alright! Kelly
  21. Good job!! Keep rockin' that sleeve!! Kelly
  22. I agree with Tiffy. I wouldn't worry too much about it right now. Worry more when you can actually eat! Kelly
  23. I did the alka-seltzer chalk test last tuesday and my heart test about a month ago! don't know if you had to do the upper endoscopy!! that one really sucks! camera down the throat, i was sedated, but still knew what was going on! wanted to gag, but couldn't. heard myself burping, but didn't care!! LOL thank goodness all tests were ok. Having surgery on Monday!! Good luck to you !! Kelly
  24. I think that is why they have the "PROTEIN FIRST" rule. If you are following that, you will not have room for carbs or very little carbs. Proteins have very little to zero carbs in them. Eat meat, fish, cheese and eggs. That will help you to feel full and you should not be able to eat so many carbs! Good luck! Kelly
