  1. Coops, uh, yeah, your body is retaining fluid and maybe your MP has really kicked in now and this is the last few of Aunt Flo? Not sure how old you are so....
  2. Peeps, y'all will not believe this!! I weighed this morning. 155.4. Which for the week makes 2.6 I think!!!!! So amazing. Glad to go into vacay at a low so I will have a losing mindset! Lol.
  3. Good one, Laura!
  4. Seelessofme, I feel bad for you. I know it has to be very frustrating and I would feel the same. I lost so quickly and easily that I want to rant for you!!! . Along with the others who have responded, I would take a hard look at what you are REALLY eating calorie wise and carb wise. Log it. Also, once your body stays at a certain weight for a while without actively trying to kickstart your loss by cutting back or reducing calories/carb you develop a set point and it will take WORK to get past it! And like Lynda, I would def be asking to have my surgery checked out. And don't let them deter you!!! You paid for it!!!!!!! Good luck to you. Keep us posted.
  5. Fiddle, I'm strange enough to LOVE rain and like Laura like nothing more than to snuggle up in a blanket and like Lynda like to eat comfort foods like chili, Soups and muffins! Lol. I don't eat the muffins anymore and make low cal versions of the other foods but I know you are an active guy and maybe your psyche is affected by no sun. Yep, get the glow light out. Ha! This too shall pass! And RUN from the Protein bars. Cause I know you live them!!! Lol
  6. You look great! I hit 3 in June and totally agree! Sometimes it makes me angry that I didn't have this option years ago!!))(
  7. Yes, everyone is doing a great job! I was down another .7 pounds this morning after NOLA day yesterday. So I'm counting that as almost a pound! Lol. That's 1.7 for week. 20.7 in all. Yes, Coops, getting gear together for Bach to pull out about 4am Mon morning. Good thing is that we have a condo with full kitchen so I can eat mostly clean. . Hopefully. And that's a BIG hope!! Wishing everyone a grand weekend! Eat healthy!!!!!
  8. Y'all are all cracking me up! The IMAGES in my head now are rather startling!!!!
  9. Good to know. I've been prone to EAT then exercise some times.
  10. Now that's strange because I CAN from my iPhone app but NOT from my iPad!! ???? Have you tried completely closing out and restarting it?
  11. Hey, OD, I think you need to go to eat something nutritious while you are taking pain meds! You will wind up nauseous and sick. Need to baby yourself right now. Don't worry about Laura. We will beat up anybody that messes with her! We have kick boxers And everything in this group. FYE, thanks! Hope you have a great time too!
  12. Oh my word! I can remember at one of my last massages being mortified because my stomach made these horrific gurgling noises the WHOLE TIME! She said, "You must really be hungry!" I just kinda laughed and thought, "If you only knew!" lol I don't burp - I hiccup - 7-8 times if I get the least bit full
  13. ETA: I almost forgot the most important part! We talked about whether the sleeve physically stretches - and absolutely it can. So, from the very beginning and continuing into maintenance, do not eat to "full" or "over full" - protect that feeling of restriction to help with the long term success. This scares me too! AND makes me feel that there are so many different opinions out there. My suregon flat out says NO, can't stretch - will relax so that once completely healed etc can eat a lot more. Thankfully, I am 3 years out and have great restriction IF I eat correctly!!! Junk, lots and lot can go down. chicken, dense Protein, dense veggies - very little amount! I DID end my lifelong relationship with carbonated beverages (Diet Coke) which I was told was a no no and could help relax it and I've heard people say that they can drink a glass of wine and then eat more! No idea about that. BUT, CGJ, I'm very jealous of such a great organization and support network! And all I know is I sure don't want my sleeve to stretch!!!!!! You rock!
  14. Sounds similar to mine! Love my surgeon - highly respected - but it's a 5 minute "you are doing great, see you in a year!" He does do blookwork but not much support at all. Glad for VST community!
  15. I have been there. It's not complacency so much as mindset to me. You DID reach size 14 and feel good about it. So our poor "fatty" brains feel good about it and now "Let's celebrate!" Too much work to keep on. I wouldn't "linger" there because you will lose motivation and regain some loss. If you've picked up junk foods, quit cold turkey! Go back to basics for 5 days or so strictly. Cravings will end and you will be encouraged because you will feel the REAL sleeve restriction again and have a sense of accomplishment. Go, Girl! You got this!!!!
  16. Oh, yes! There is something about getting down below that 200 # that feels like "we have arrived" for a while! I actually was losing so quickly that I went right on by it but when I got to REAL GOAL, I immediately went into this mindset that says, "I DID IT! NOW LET'S EAT AND CELEBRATE!" lol Needless to say, I kept at goal for several months and then gradually sugar addiction crept back up and I gained about 20 lbs over the 2nd year, FINALLY, stopped myself and with encouragement from other sleevers and mentally "taking myself in hand", I found something to work for me and have lost the weight and back on maintenance/losing track! As all have said, COLD TURKEY! Moderation does NOT work and especially since you are not at goal. Too hard to relose the weight once it comes back! You can do it!!!!!
  17. If I were younger, I would probably really pursue body plastics but at my age (59) I'm really more interested in face/neck. Has anybody gotten pricing on something like the Lifestyle Lift or similar. Not really interested in full facelift stuff. I'm too scared of the outcome! LOL
  18. Yep, I'm sweating next week - Leaving for vacay early Monday morning and be "out of my element" all week until the following Monday. Since we are going to the mountains, I'm hoping A LOT OF HIKING will help keep me on track but I intend to have a good time - come what may!
  19. I SOO know what you mean, FYE, Laura and M2G. One of my biggest thrills is when I could honestly tell my husband that I weighed less than him! LOL He is a 5'10" skinny person so He loses like EVERY WEEK! Without trying. He also never thought of me as "fat" and always made me feel pretty. Finally convinced him of surgery need when my Mom passed away. I think just being able now to say my weight outloud is amazing. (Not that I do it often!) LOL
