  4. One in the books for the BTB challenge! 5.25 miles today!!!!! My personal best. Well, one day anyway! Lol
  5. Okay, I'm in! I'm NOT the running type so it will be me and the Gazelle walker And my bike if I get it out! AND, I'm starting three days late so I get three extra days!
  6. Wow! And who knew that even though I quickly, easily and care freely lost 100 lbs in 8 months, breezed along eating my way through piles of junk food and gaining 25 lbs along the THREE YEAR PLUS way, that I'd be an idiot spouting hearsay? . i guess I should have must continued that carefree, mindless eating instead of RESEARCHING, JOINING OTHER COMMUNITY, WORKING LIKE A DOG TO RE LOSE THE WEIGHT and LEARN maintenance through knowledge I gleaned from others on this forum and shared WITH others. ::))
  7. Well, I'm in the "aftermath" phase of Labor Day wknd with ALLthe kids home with Grands too! My little3yr old calls it "Nannie's hotel"! Ha! It was a true joy to we my son who is doing fantastic with his wife and daughter here from NOLA. My daughter and her girls who live here stayed as well las night so every bed in the house was overflowing. My poor doggie, Prince, was terrorized and in hiding when they did t go looking for him! We did a HUGE brisket that cooked all day Saturday and eaten on Sunday with all the trimmings! Surprisingly, there have been bites here and there as well as a slice of turtle cheesecake for my Syd's 11 year old birthday cake Sunday but all in all not eating over calorie count and don't feel any out of control urges! Back on the fast day tomorrow! Now, after remaking beds, washing towels, cleaning kitchen, vacuuming house and straightening up, I'm gong to veg out and watch HGTV! Lol Happy Labor Day to all!
  8. I love fitbit. . Makes me feel so much more active! LOL. SO far I've logged 6300 steps which equals almost 3 miles ))
  9. That's great! Keep following your surgeons plan and go back to basics like this recommends if you feel you have slipped a little or are "grazing". You might need to shake it up a bit to restart loss. Eat smaller more frequent meals or eat your biggest in the morning and taper down. Change up your exercise routine. You will get there!!!
  10. Yep, 140 is "relative"! Ha! I'm 5'8" unless I've shrunk a little . This is quite amazing: Results: Based on the Robinson formula (1983), your ideal weight is 138.0 lbs Based on the Miller formula (1983), your ideal weight is 141.1 lbs Based on the Devine formula (1974), your ideal weight is 140.9 lbs Based on the Hamwi formula (1964), your ideal weight is 139.1 lbs Based on the healthy BMI recommendation, your recommended weight is 121.7 lbs - 164.4 lbs US units metric units other units Wow! At 5'8", if I weighed 138 I would be SKINNY! Really skinny. Too weird. I am wearing size 8 skirts and med/large tops. I'm the tallest person among all my friends and the slimmest now. WW SAYS Your healthy weight range is 132 to 164 lbs. People's choice. 145 Medical recommendation. 125-164 MetLife tables. 139-153 I guess I can pick my number. I pick 145-150!!!!
  11. I think so. I haven't really done it myself. I would just go back to MY basics of strictly protein first, no drinking during meals and no snacking. Eating REALLY clean until back on track. How far out are you now?
  12. I get lots of questions regarding how to get back on track. This journey is tough, and one thing I've learned is that I'm not perfect - but if I'm going to move past that I have to figure out how to forgive myself. For me, the main factor in my obesity was my inability to overcome this. So I would give up and gain all my weight back, and even more. I cannot do this to myself!!! I have to pick myself back up and keep it moving. I didn't go through 2 torturous painful weight loss surgeries to just keep giving up. Heck no!!! So, along my Sleeve Journey, when I noticed I wasn't doing well and needed to get back on track this is what I did: The BASICS BOOTCAMP: For 5 STRICT DAYS I will eat only... Proteins: Seafoods, Poultry and eggs, Dairies, nuts/seeds including Peanut Butter. Veggies: Green only. Fruits: None. Breads/Cereals/Other Carbs: None. Fluids: One gallon of water (128 oz.) Protein drinks (RTD or Powder). Avoid: Sugar and Sodium Once the 5 days are over, I am pretty much over the Sugar Carb Demon. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate carbs! I do need them to live a healthy life and since I workout a lot it is important I have them. However, I need GOOD carbs. Whole grains, fruits, veggies... But I don't need processed sugars. White carbs, in cereals, breads, rice... etc. Lots will do the 5 day pouch test. http://www.5daypouchtest.com/ Great! To each their own. I personally do not do this. My first reason is because I don't have a pouch. I have a sleeve. The second reason is because for me, this has proven nothing but torture for me. I don't feel like I should have to do that. My personal program works just as good without that side effect. The only reasons I've ever done liquids only is simply from being threatened with my life (post op) or if I'm just feeling sick and to let my Sleevie rest. That's it. Good luck everyone! This journey is tough, but nothing worth doing is ever easy. Xoxo
  13. Scroll up several posts above you. I believe diva listed it in this thread. I saw it as I scrolled down.
  14. Yaay, and I'm claiming it! 152.2!!! 2.2 lbs from original goal I reached 150! Boy, I agree with all of my "pals" this 5:2 thing has been a life style changer and balancer for me! Coops, I feel pretty sure 161 is a new low set point for you. Your body has dipped there and returning there. And I pound from the 150s!!!!! I'm feeling "human" this morning which is good! Got houseful of company coming for holiday wknd. My son,DIL and baby Grand! So excited to see them but I know it will involve some eating out so have to be aware too! FYE, what is rolled spelt??? And if it can be eaten with chocolate chips I need it!
  15. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want this to be true. Sigh. Well, 3rd fast this week complete. 522. One good thing about feeling bad is you aren't hungry either. LOL
