  1. Alrighty Then!!! I'm up for it! I am shooting for 2 pounds a week. That was approximately my weight loss average over the last challenge. SN.................Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal MsPuse........212.4...................212.4...........194.4.....18 Wow! I would be under 200. That would be sooooo cool.
  2. So, I haven't been very good at checking in the last 4 weeks of the challenge. I was doing a "normal dieting" behavior: I wasn't doing what I needed to do for myself and I wasn't losing as well as I would like and I kind of gave up! Wow! That's not good. But, I weighed myself yesterday and realized how much progress I did make. So, even though I missed my goal, I have come a long way! I lost nearly 20 pounds in that time!!! Wow!! I'm in for the next challenge. And, I really need to push myself harder to stay on top of things! Congratulations to everyone who stuck with the challenge through the good and bad! SN.............SW...........CW............GW............lbs to goal MsPuse....232..........212.4........207.25.......5.15 - Final
  3. Whoo Hoo! Great progres!! And, I was at my niece's graduation this past weekend and was not able to control my food intake as I would like! Yay! SN.............SW...........CW............GW............lbs to goal MsPuse....232..........227.6........207.25.......20.35 - Week 1 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........227.8........207.45.......20.55 - Week 2 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........226.4........207.45.......18.95 - Week 3 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........223.6........207.45.......16.15 - Week 4 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........219.8........207.45.......12.35 - Week 5 Weigh In
  4. Great Job! Congratulations!
  5. Much better progress this week. I have no idea why....but I'm not going to complain! SN.............SW...........CW............GW............lbs to goal MsPuse....232..........227.6........207.25.......20.35 - Week 1 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........227.8........207.45.......20.55 - Week 2 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........226.4........207.45.......18.95 - Week 3 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........223.6........207.45.......16.15 - Week 4 Weigh In Well, if I would actually lose at this rate for the next few weeks, I'd would make goal. But, I just don't see that happening.
  6. Hmmm...I know my period got/gets crazy whenever I do "extreme" dieting (which is kind of the case now b/c I consume 1000 or less calories/day). My first period post-surgery started "on-time". But, that was followed up with another FULL period about a week and a half later. This has happened before when I was very low calorie diet. Someone suggested it may be that the estrogen "bound" up in my fat is being released and triggering more periods. Regardless, I'm not a huge fan of two periods a month.

But, not enough. Rats!
  8. SN.............SW...........CW............GW............lbs to goal MsPuse....232..........227.6........207.25.......20.35 - Week 1 Weigh In MsPuse....232..........227.8........207.45.......20.55 - Week 2 Weigh In Well - this isn't good. But, I know why. I was doing really great up until Friday. I was showing like a 3 pound loss and feeling good about "official weigh-in today. But, I had entirely TOO MANY ADULT BEVERAGES this weekend!!! There was no real good reason and the results are showing up in my "official" numbers. While I REFUSE to entirely give up wine, I will NOT drink for the next two weekends! I really want to reach my 4th of July goal!
  9. Good for you for seeing the problem right from the beginning!! That is half the battle! Good Luck! You have the knowledge and tools you need to succeed!
  10. I'm with Nicole. Even though I know I'm not supposed to, I weigh everyday.
  11. Geat Work! Congratulations!
  12. Groove - My surgeon in Baton Rouge didn't have us start taking calcium until at least a month or six weeks out to allow for the tummy to heal. I take only two big mama pills a day (630 mg). But, I track my calcium intake closely to ensure I'm getting at least 1200 mg/day or more. I make sure I eat enough dairy products to get the calcium I need. Good Luck!
  13. I'm a little late in finding this thread. But, I'd really like to join the challenge! The 4th of July this year promises to be a big one at my house - - I'll be celebrating my 40th birthday (July 6) and having a 4th of July party to show off some recent home reno's. So, I'd really like to focus on being down a good amount of weight. I think I"m going to shoot for 2.25 pounds per week (yes, I just made that number up!). Here we go! (SW is as of 4/25 to be on the same field as everyone else.) SN.............SW...........CW............GW............lbs to goal MsPuse....232..........227.6........207.25.......20.35 Yikes!!! Just seeing that kind of freaks me out! It is way more ambitious that I currently have as my 4th of July goal! But, I guess that's why it's a challenge! Good Luck Everyone!!!
  14. I have been doing fairly well with my sleeve. I stay around 800 - 900 calories a day. I realize some may feel this is too much this soon out (7 weeks). But, I find that I lose fairly well in this range. Anyway, even though we sleevers might think "OMG!!! 900 calories is sooooo much!" (can you believe we think that?), my body still sees it has too few calories. And, that really messes up my cycle! It has happened in the past when I went on very low calorie diets. I get my period every ten days to two weeks (my fun comment was obviously sarcasm! ). My question - - for other women whose bodies react similarly, when did/did your body straighten out. I'm really not very excited about having to deal with a full period every two weeks. Thanks for the input!
  15. I did have a few of my kids small chocolate eggs and one Dove peanut butter and chocolate egg. It was okay. But, I wasn't all in heaven or anything! This morning I took a bunch of excess candy to work to put in the break room!!! I only feel slightly guilty about fattening up my co-workers!
  16. Dani - I feel your pain! I was sleeved 3/14 and am having similar results. I'm so frustrated and a bit sad! And, compounding my frustration, DH had the sleeve 3/22 and has already SURPASSED me in the weight loss!!! Ugh! I keep going on hoping it will start moving in the right direction soon! Jdell's advice sounds good and I may adopt some of it to see if that helps! Good luck! And, don't feel bad about being frustrated. I think we can do that!
  17. Congratulations! You look great!
  18. Well, it's either spend it here in one chunk....Or spend a little bit at a time on the cost of being obese: blood pressure medicine, diabetes medicine, extra visits to doctors, orthtics, etc. It's a pretty good investment if you ask me!
  19. I had my surgery 3/14. I'm doing pretty well. I've lost around 20 pounds. I've started my first menstrual period since the surgery and I am EXHAUSTED!!! I'm also munchie - - you know - hormonal munchie! I'm taking my Vitamins, B12 and an Iron supplement. Does anyone else have any reccomendations on how to combat this. I'm doing pretty well not eating things I shouldn't (I did have 1/2 of SF pudding with lunch). But, I'd sure love some advice on improving the energy levels! I haven't had energy issues until now. Thanks for any input!
  20. Thanks everyone for your insights! I'm pushing through! It will all be great in the end!
  21. Thanks DisneyMomma! DazyKrazie - I'm definitely still in the "what the hell have I done" phase! I'm doing okay. I'm just kind of anxious right now to get "healed up"! For some reason, the stitch that the doctor put in to close up the big cut on the left side of my abdominal wall is extremely tender and sore! I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue. So, I think it is just me. It gets better every day! I'm just ready for my poor body to be back to a happy state! Good Luck Everyone!
  22. DisneyMomma - where did you get those portein powders??/ They sound so good! And, how long does it take you to take all that in? Are you able to take big drinks? I'm concerned about getting my Protein b/c I'm sipping so slowly on my Protein Drinks. I find I do better if I drinnk it over a really long time. Anyway, your plan sounds really great! You are going to have much success!
  23. Well Nikkeystar - - all I can say is...CONGRATULATIONS FOR BEING OBESE! Hahahaha! You've done a great job!
  24. Your reduction in gas makes me hopeful! Good luck going back to work!
