I was told to start BC immediately as this losing phase makes you super fertile. My recommendation is to get something right away.

I was always a volume eater too... For some reason at 5'2" I have spent the last 25 years trying to eat the same portion sizes as my 6' husband. I also never knew when to stop... if it tasted good or smelled good I ate... usually until my stomach hurt. The sleeve has been an AMAZING tool for me. I no longer stuff my self because I can't. As for those cravings and feeling hungry all the time... it is gone. It happened at about 5 or 6 weeks. One day I realized I just didn't crave food any more and I was no longer worrying about where my next meal was coming from. Give it some time.... I wonder if it doesn't take awhile for the body to get rid of the grehlin? It has worked amazingly for me. GOOD LUCK Av

I think your loss is great.... It is quite similar to mine... 25 pounds at 7 weeks. Keep up the good work. ALSO... be sure you are getting enough protein in... sounds like you are eating a lot of other stuff.

Thanks for the note... just to clarify... I have lost 25 pounds since my surgery date... the other 25 I lost before while on my pre op diet.

Neither my Dr nor I knew I had a hiatal hernia until he got inside me. It was a total surprise and mine was pretty severe. Apparently I had suffered some symptoms but not many, so I am not an expert on the symptoms. BUT... my understanding is that you tend to have a lot of reflux from one. My surgeon was able to repair it during my sleeve surgery. I have had no complications from the repair or the sleeve surgery. Good luck!

I have Aetna and am just over a month post op. I was required to do 3 months supervised medical weight loss... one meeting with a psych.. and my seminar. I had my gyn send my 2 year weight history to my surgeon and they submitted it on a Friday. I had my approval by the next Monday. I agree with the above post that not all plans are created equal, but it sounds like you are on the right track. If you have any questions pm me... I am in Dallas and we can meet for coffee and talk. My doctor said cream of wheat was ok on day 3. Very watery cream of wheat was considered a full liquid. It didn't give me any trouble.

I had the same burning until about day 6 and then it just went away. Hope yours leaves as quickly as mine did.

I just went a head and got an IUD about a month before my sleeve. I didn't want any "surprises". I have been very happy with the IUD and have no problems.

The psych who talked to us at my seminar said that it doesn't matter what you did. What matters is what you did after you did what you did. In other words... what's done is done. Eat right for the rest of the day and tomorrow... and the next day. You ate the cup cake... let it go and move on. Good Luck

No since my first Dr. Visit... that is why I differentiated between starting date and surgery date, but either way a pound is a pound Woo hoo! Thanks for the thumbs up.

I have Aetna and they covered it.... was approved in just over 24 hours after submission. If your employer has chosen a plan that includes bariatric surgery that is half the battle. Good luck and keep us posted.
