  1. Just had to respond to this...I am 34 and never had big boobs...but at their biggest (breast feeding and heaviest weight) I was a 40 B. I have NOTHING left after losing over 100 pounds. But what I have is saggy...so I dont think it has anything to do with the age of the boobs I am starting to think that some ladies just have fatty boobs and since I dont have much fat= I have NO boobs. I have found some awesome padded bras that allow me to look like I have small round boobs but i look like a cancer patient or an adolesent in a bathing suit. I have seriously been looking at suits with serious pads. Not sure if I will ever get them "fixed" but my least favortie thing about my body now.
  2. If there is one thing I have learned on this website I have learned that every single dr and hospital is different. In my opinion, if you trust your surgeon and are comfortable with him/her than just follow their guidlines and dont worry. Your surgeon is looking at you medical situation and you may not need these tests. Good Luck to you!
  3. Welcome and keep your chin up! I would definatly suggest you keep track of every morsel . Add up your carbs, calories each day. If you are not doing that it may help.
  4. I got one from my surgeon and I have never used it. Like others have said the kids meal is usually fried foods. I went to a place called extreme pita today with my family and ordered a kids meal for myself and it was perfect for me. They didnt question because I have 2 small kids... My biggest trouble at resturants is the waiters asking me if I want a drink. They always ask atleast twice.
  5. Yep sounds like you need a PPI to me too...can you discuss with you doctor?
  6. I think this is a mistake that so many people make ...they rush through the food stages. Good Point PDX! I also agree you may have just eaten it too fast. When I found myself frustrated with the amount of food I could eat I just try to remind myself...food is for fuel only and I eat to live and this isnt the last time in the world I will ever be offered______________to eat. Those were all new ways of thinking for this formally fat girl.
  7. That is really great! Your are changing the course of your life!
  8. I am a marine wife and had my surgery done at Balboa in San Diego! Nice to meet you Mrs. Fly!
  9. At two weeks...I just wanted to have the assurance I was doing everything right and my incisions were healing right. I can't think of anything I asked. As long as you know the next visit, the lifting exercising requirments, next steps of the meal plan...I think you are set.
  10. My doctor said it wasnt necessary, I asked because I knew the Bypass patients had to wear one. He gave me a card to carry in my walet that says what procedure I have had and it also asks resturants to sell me a kids meal... I have never used it...kids meals are almost always fried or full of carbs.
  11. So happy for you! Sounds like you have a great attitude. I am sure you will surpase all your dreams.
  12. I think you should call and if they seem frustrated with your call just tell them you are trying to say the dr time and save yourself the co-pay. It is hard to wait...but from this side of the fence that long wait and all the hoops were worth it!
  13. I was told no by my nut. You should start a poll. I'd be curious to see what the results are.
  14. I have always taken Flinstones complete (2 chewable aday) 1 B100 a day 1 B12 sublingual a week 3 calciums chews a day (for women only I think) and I buy all of these at the grocery store. I buy my Protein from GNC because they let you return what you dont like and they carry wide variety of whey Proteins. Hope that helps.
  15. What a difference a year makes! You look great! Congrats on all your hard work!
  16. I have read the risk of leaks is minimal after 6 weeks. But I think it is a good question to ask your doctor the morning of when he comes in right before surgery. I am a stay at home mom(of 3 kids, 9 yr old, 3 yr old, and 18mth old ) and really after the first week I was ok...My husband stayed home until nap time and then went to work the second week and my oldest helped after nap time. But for the most part I was fine. Couldnt lift my kids until 4 weeks. I would say you will be ok if you dont lean from a standing position too much...if you do most of your work sitting I think you will be ok. I wouldnt plan on much after work though! It is so normal to worry pre-0p. I couldnt sleep at all the night before my surgery but when I got to the hospital that morning I was very calm. Blessings to you!
  17. Your doing SOOOO great! Congrats to you!
  18. My advice is to wait until you are at goal. Stick with healthy foods avoid junk until you are there. But just to give you something to look forward to...I eat two small slices of thin crust pizza now at 16 months out. I havent tried brownies or popcorn.
  19. 6 months for me..but my Nut was very srtict. If I eat them too often (even now 16 months out) like more than 2 times a week I have a bit of an upset tummy.
  20. Keep your chin up...saying a prayer that they find out what the cause is and your able to go home soon! Keep posting!
  21. Wow! That was a wonderful letter. I pray all of your family decide to support your efforts. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. Blessings to you.
  22. You may not be at goal but you sure have accomplished a lot! Keep it up, you will get there in no time.
  23. I also had PCOS. But I can tell you that the sleeve works and your body is trying hard to hang on to that weight but it wont last! Hang on ladies it you will see the scale move just keep on doing what you know is right!
